Hes 12 wks old I feed him Chicken Soup for The Puppies Soul- it doesnt have all the fillers like most dog foods, so I really dont think its the food. We give him treats once a night after he poops but he farts all the time, really bad smelling, room clearing farts (I think my bf is jealous haha). He doesnt have runny stool or diarrhea, no blood in it either. I feed him like it says on the packaging- actually a little less because hes not as active since its freezing outside. Is there any way to limit the farting?? Or make it not smell so bad?

puppies fart alot! its normal... i think it has something to do with their digestive tracks getting on track. i have a 14 week old pup and wheewy those farts are toxic, lol. i think its worse with larger breed dogs.

You need to change your puppy's food. It is giving him gas and could at some point become a discomfort for your pup. I have had this problem with my puppies. I would suggest a good dry dog food, with rice and small bit of chicken as a top dressing. Do some research and find the best dry dog food you can. You could ask your vet, he/she may know of a good food.

I would say it could be the anal glands because when they fill the dog can smell really bad. I don't know though because your dog seems too young to already have an issue with that. Is the food you are giving him dry food?
