how long will it take for the akc paperworks to be processed? The puppies are getting old,they are now 4 weeks old should I just register them as APR? Or can it be a dual registration?

Do they smile because they are happy or is it just because

He threw up a couple of days ago but I don't think he is sick. He doesn't act sick at all. I found a ra-hide bone in his cage that aparently mom gave to him. Is it possible that he just got the white for the bone on to his nose, or could he be sick. If he is sick, what can I do without taking him to the vet - my parents don't have the money to take him there.

Well, my aunt has a chihuahua that isn't very old.. About two years I guess. I do not agree with how they handle their animals, because as a pup they didn't bother to train him or put any work into him and ever since have let him dominate the household. The first dog they got is now reduced to being only in a little section of the hallway, split by a board because the chihuahua simply didn't like him.

In the past week many problems have occured:
- he growled and went to nip at my aunt for reaching for her winter coat which was next to him
- bit my cousin's nose (which was weird because thats the person the dog likes most)
- bit my uncle twice

I hate to see people do this to animals. To just not train them and expect them to behave, and just as soon get rid of them when they don't. I was just wondering, is it really too late for the dog? Is there a way he could still be trained?

What is your opinion on a dog kennel for the spring/summer months? We own our home, but don't have a fenced in yard and plan to move next year. We have a 6+1/2 month black lab and are expecting baby in July. I'd like to get a big kennel for the dog to go hang in outside during the warmer months (he would still sleep in our house at night). My husband thinks it would be mean to put the dog in a kennel. What is your opinion?

The spot where Ozzy, my black lab, goes outside and does his business, is that patch of grass ruined? The snow melted and the rest of the lawn is green, but the patch where he goes is yellow. Anything I can do about it, while keeping the dog in the same location? Yes, first time dog owner here.
