its best to ring the vet again.
yellow sick means she is just throwing up stomach bile(not her food) dont worry about the grass, they eat this when they have a stomach ache, it settles their stomach.
good luck with your dog.

To be honest, I doubt it would be the grass as she would not have just started eating it, but it may have been something in the grass. Take her to the vets and have her checked out if she's not herself. A couple of weeks ago, we had two dogs ill - the first was being sick, off her dinner (and she's a pest when she wants her dinner! lol), hardly moved from her bed etc etc. Took her to vets and was given stuff to stop the vomiting. When my mum was clearing the sick, she left the door to the cupboard open and my other dog went in and ate a mountain of dog food. Then a couple of days later, he started to get really fat and suddenly that night just puked up piles of undigested dog food. To be honest, thinking back on it, it was rather amusing lol - there were about 4 BIG piles lol. Anyway, he was very ill the next day and was taken to vets.
Anyway, the vet can give her a complete check, take her temperature and stomach to feel for any lumps and bumps (of anything she may have eaten). He can then give her something to stop her being sick and rehydrate.

The yellow fluid is just bile - her tummy is empty and so she's bringing up stomach juices for want of a better description.
I think opinions vary about why dogs eat grass when they're feeling sick - but it definitely won't cause her any harm.
I would give her plenty of water but nothing else for a further day and see how she is, if she's still sick then back to the vet for further advice. Hope she gets better!

If she's been doing this for days and is now throwing up bile (the yellow stuff) and got diarrhoea take her straight to the vet as she could have what the vets call Winter flu (this has been going around the dog population quite recently) or a gastrointestinal problem.
My dog was the same just after Christmas, throwing up bile and off his food with diarrhoea and we took him to the vets who basically said he need help quick and put him straight away onto a drip (he couldn't hold water down either). Funny thing was there was another couple there who at the time was picking their dog up who had had the same thing the week before.
Poor thing was in the vet hospital for a week with this 'Winter Flu' which resulted in giving our dog a very sensitive stomach and intestinal tract now meaning now he is limited to what food he can eat now and not allowed any tip bits either.
Take him to the vets for them to have a look at your dog just to be on the safe side as its better for them to look at the dog as they can diagnose it better than just with descriptions over the telephone.
Also do, make sure you are covered by pet insurance, just in case he does end up going in as it will be costly.

" Q. Why do dogs eat grass?
A. Dogs commonly eat grass, and there are several explanations that have been offered for this behavior. One, wild canids (e.g., wolves and fox) eat all of an animal when they catch it. Since they eat many herbivores (plant-eating animals), they end up eating a lot of grasses and plants that were in the intestines of these animals. In addition, they have been known to eat certain berries and other plant material. Dogs then, may eat grass because, in reality, it is a normal part of their diet.
Many times, dogs will vomit after eating grass. Did they eat grass to make them vomit? Or did they vomit because they ate grass? It is a mystery, but it seems that some dogs may eat vegetation when they have an upset stomach.
The third reason - they just like it. Some dogs have certain species of grass or plant material that they will search out and eat. We know a beagle who can pick raspberries faster than his owner.
In any case, grass eating is basically a normal behavior, and is not of concern unless your dog does it excessively."

My dog Truffle was always eating grass and bringing this yellow stuff up. She would do this several times a day. Obviously make sure with your vet but from what you say it sounds like the grass they eat to clear their stomachs.
My current dog doesnt do this at all, but my cats do and with 5 cats I do get quite a bit of this.

Kerri,
It could be several things:
1. She is eating something that is giving her food poisoning. Watch her when she goes outside and see if she is eating a plant or something outside that is spoiled.
2. She may have a bacterial infection in her stomach.
Take her in to the vet. Dogs eat grass to help them throw up. Obviously she knows she is sick and wants to get better.
Hope this helps.

Take the dog to the vet. Could have picked up something from another dog or could even have a blockage. In any event, a little medical intervention wouldn't go amiss - think how miserable you feel when you poorly. It's definitely poorly - get to the vet.

Before I finished reading the question I said to myself, grass. My gsd breakfasts on it daily, then sicks it up in a green watery fluid. Keep watching your dog, and do not let him eat grass all the time. I will bet he thinks he is a cow and is keeping your lawn down.

It could be the type of food she is eating , have you changed her diet at all? also want to check if maybe there is any laundry detergent low to the ground or anything she could have gotten into.yellow usually means mucus could be an infection take her to the vet for sure , she probably has a cold.
