my moms Boxer has something wrong with her nose. It almost looks like a wart covering the whole tip of her nose. Molly is six years old and when mom got her, there was nothing wrong. Is there anyone who can help identify what that is? I will send pictures if you think you can help. I just don't want to bring her to the vet if I don't have to, not a whole lot of money to do it. Please help me. Thank you.

ok so i was just outside(in my apartments) and my friend came up with this shepard mix and I was like is that your dog? and she said ya why? and i said your not allowed to have dogs bigger than 35 pounds and clearly this dog was about 75 pounds and she said oh it is a service dog and she got closer and the dog started flipping out it was terrified there was a bout 6 people standing there and i was like what is wrong with her and she was like she is afraid of people and she was strangling the poor dog trying to get closer and you could see the fear in the poor dogs eyes and it didnt really make sence that this dog is a service dog

Is Science diet the best food for my Chihuahua who had Addison's disease? I have heard that Innova is a good food, and we are trying to get her weight down (she is on prednisone which makes her hungry). She will not eat the Science Diet lite food and I have found the Diet Innova but is it better? Is there something else better than Science Diet? Pedigree? And if we do switch should we just switch her all of a sudden or do it gradual? How do you swicth gradual?

We have a 12 year old Malamute with a number of medical problems. My question is: how do you know when the time is right for euthanasia? We have had her since she was 6 weeks old, and we adore her. She has diabetes, and we have dutifully given her insulin shots twice a day for 3 years. She also has arthritis and joint problems, which we help with Rimadyl and a glucosamine. She recently broke out with a facial rash due to her decreased immune system. We treat this by giving her a daily oral dose of a medicine that smells like paint thinner. She was always a large dog, between 100-110 pounds, but has cut back her food intake to the point that she has dropped to just above 80 pounds. She spends most of her time sleeping in the downstairs bathtub. This may seem like a no-brainer, but she will still occasionally perk up and seem to have some spark left in her. We don't want her to suffer, but we love her and certainly do not want to act too soon. How do you know?

and has never really been properly trained? i have a year old pomeranian who was 7 months old when we got her... right after i got her, i got very sick and was unable to properly house break her... so, she has been doing her business, mostly inside unfortunately for almost 5 months... i am finally well enough to begin proper training, but am wondering if it will work? i know i will have to have a lot of patience and it will be hard, but i am hoping it won't be a complete waste of time... please, no rude or mean answers.. i know having a dog do business inside is gross, and unhealthy for both animal and owner, but thats not what i am asking...

I just want to understand. Why do so many people own these dogs? They are dangerous. I was walking in the park once and a medium sized pitbull bit a teenager a few meters from me. When it finally let go it ran at me, but luckily I shoved my coat in its mouth and soccerballed in in the face to scare it off. I still got a scar on my arm from it. But if that dog was really mad it would of come right back and I would have had only one option: try to make a fist and shove it right down the f*cker's throat.

I don't hate dogs and I don't want to hurt them, but if it comes down to me and the dog, I want to be the one walking out alive. Imagine if it was a child being attacked! You can say it's the owners, but as a victim, I really don't care if it's the owner or the dog. I still did nothing wrong and came out with a scar. Why whould I be subjected to this? These dogs should be BANNED.
