Well when I trained my cat I used my cat and the litterbox. I would randomly bring her into the litterbox and have her walk around it to at first get used to the feel of the litter.

I would try to time it where she goes in the box while im there but if i caught her going id run her to the litterbox and use positive reinforcement when she was done. after awhile she picked it up and found it on her own.

truthfully, i dont think you can do it. i really dont think that the dog will like the feeling of the litter on its feet. litter boxes are made for cats. cats and dogs are different in ways more than looks. so, its worth a try though.

to try you should take the puppy to the litterbox every couple of hours. pretty soon it will get the concept that its supposed to go to the bathroom.

good luck with this tricky task!!!

Take the puppy to the litter box after every meal. It'll soon get the idea.

You need litter and a box.

You don't litter train dogs. You litter train cats. Don't be lazy - take the dog outside every so often to go potty.
