what supplies should i buy? How do i get the dog used to living in my house(im adopting one from my local shelter.)any thing else you would like to say would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just rescued a german shepherd from a shelter 2 months ago. He was malnourished (bones and skin), with ear infections and wouldn't play. Now he is like a bear, happy and healthy, playful, an truly incredible and smart dog except for one problem: he is aggressive toward all people except for one neighbor and trainer (and myself). He will bark aggressively at anyone coming close 7feet for some reason. If they're further away-fine.He doesn't get along with other animals either. I need real help, trainer helps a little but dog does the same thing except less, he skips it every once in a while. Except this, he learned every other commands in no time, he got housetrained in like a week, he is the sweetest cuddly dog inside that never barks when in the house. Please help, anyone...?
(when he barks, he barks aggressively as if he would bite if he wasn't muzzled)

alright so my yorkie terier mix was found as a puppy on the streets.she is the most adorable thing in the world and i love her to death.so one day we went on a trip ad we left her with the neighbor who has two poodles. She fell in love with the neighbor and her dogs and now were sharing custody with her which drives me insane ill go to school and come back and find out my dogs at the neighbors...it sux... our neighbor has no life and treats the dogs like people she coooks them chicken and they have thiier own electricc blankets and so when she does come home shell refuse to eat and my mom freeks and sends her across the street...after a week or so she starts eating kibble tho..she spends three times more time at the neighbors then our house.

1) How can i get my dog to stay at our house longer?! the neighbors at work almost all day!!

2)how can i pamper my dog for little or no $$$

3)what are some trix i cood teech her?(she only nos sit.)

She whelped a litter of 6 puppies 2/24/07. She and the puppies are doing great. But as I said, she is letting out blood "clots". I'm not so sure as clots, but blood boogers. They are dark red in color, and no foul odor. Is this just what happens after whelping..I've looked over websites, and they say it's fine. Thanks In advance!!

I just bought a Lhasa Apso and he's a male, but has a real tiny cute face so I just don't know what to name him.

Many male names sound so tough and he's a tiny cute bundle of furr so I don't think they go. I also don't want a name that's too cutsy either,
like fluff or snowball.

Names I come up with, like Sashi, which I don't think is too cutesy, but my husband says it.

Any ideas?

Anyone know how to say sweet in tibetan?

a)i`m getting a chi pup today & i`m wondering what should i get for him?

b) i`ve heard that chi`s very very fragile & i`m scared that it would leap from the couch whenever i`m not looking....

c) should i put the chi in the crate whenever it`s not under my supervision? because i`ve had two other big dogs.

I am the proud owner of a seven month old golden retriever puppy. I would like to get him a friend in the next 12 months but i'm not sure which breed to choose. I am at work five days a week (8am till 4.30 they will be in the backyard) but the rest of my time is dedicated to my dogs. I am able to walk them for around half an hour every day and really enjoy dog obedience classes and training. I would also like a dog that is good with children. I am currently considering a weirmaraner, great dane, st bernard or perhaps just another golden. Does anyone have any other breed suggestions or advice on these breeds. Thanks so much. Kate.

i recently bought a labrador retreiver puppy and hes good with childrena nd very playful but now and then he chews things but not just chewing he bites down hard and those things happen to be my arms, my legs, my ankles, my toes. i cant get him to stop and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions

We got her when she was 6 months old and her hair grew for about 6 months and then it stopped. Her hair has not grown a cm for 8 months now. Should I be concerned? I thought that Yorkies were supposed to have long beautiful hair. She is about 1.4 years old now. Do you think its allergies? any advice?
