to feed your dog cheese? and how about mashed potatoes..

Perfectly fine. With all human foods(the exception being chocolate and some sauces), the rule is always in moderation. Human food is fine as a treat but don't feed them too much. If you do, the only problem you are going to have with cheese and mashed potatoes is a bit of vomiting.

Yes, dogs can have cheese. They can have mashed potatoes too. They should have those items in moderation. I give my dogs dog food and table scraps. I don't give them chocolate, grapes, or onions. They basically eat everything we eat.
I know people say to feed dogs ONLY dry dog food. Maybe they are correct. I can't do it. I treat my dogs like I would treat a human. To me they are precious little people. If dinner is not on the table by 6:30 p.m. they sit at my feet and bark to tell me it is time to eat. I just can't look at them as animals.
SWEETS OR SUGAR DOES NOT MAKE A DOG GO BLIND.

A llittle bit of cheese, you don't want the dog consitpated. Mashed potatoes? Again, some, not a whole lot. And not every day. Take care.

well its ok if its only a little because my dog eats cheese and mashed potatoes and shes fine

no with the mashed potatoes but cheese yes my cat and dog love cheese they havn't got sick the dogs 9 they love it but not to much a packet a day or a few slices its good for a treat and to teach tricks my dog can successfully now shake a paw

Yes, I used to feed all my dogs cheese and they absolutely loved it! Just makes sure you don't feed them too much, it might throw their digestive tract out a little

It's ok as an occasional treat. The only human foods dogs can't have are chocolate and onion. These will harm a dog.

Only as an occasional treat. Cheese can constipate them or have the opposite effect and cause diarrhea due to the dairy content.

Our vet recommends nothing but standard dog food and RAW meat with no spices. Some spices we use can cause allergic reactions in animals. NO chocolate-it's poisonous to them.
