I have a 2yr old Border collie, thing is, the damn dog wont stop losing hair, its everywhere, i vaccuum the house every day, it still doesnt help, 10 mins after vaccumming the house is covered in hair again, i dont have time to vac it all 2 or 3 times daily.

The hair gets on clothes, so i use a lint roller, using about 1 whole roller per week.

The hair floats about the room when the window is open.

I brush the dog daily, this doesnt help

Bath the dog regularly this doesnt help

This isnt just the dog losing its winter coat, it has been constant since we got her.

I need a real solution here, because i might have to get rid of it if i cant get some help.

I bought a 2 month old english cocker spaniel Saturday, we registered at the vet and I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas for training and general health of these playful dogs.
I've noticed he likes to play all the time, he sleeps 17 hours a day and whines during the night.
Thanks.

My friend has a doberman who gave birth to 4 puppies, I'm going to get one of them but I'm a bit worried since the mother has a terrible temper. She already bit quite a few people, actually friends not strangers who visited my friend. I'm worried because I have a 5 year old and a four month old (kids not dogs). What do you think? Oh, the father is a mutt.

I just got my first puppy today (toy/minature poodle) and I put him in his crate n' a little pillow the size of him and then a towel over the crate. He won't stop crying and he is such a little thing, I feel like he's going to hate me! Is it normal for him to cry so much all night and for them to sound reallllly sobbing for such a little thing? I feel horrible! Please, I need help! How am I gonna sleep knowing he is freaking out? I do not want him in my bed with me and I need to keep the crate in the family rooom, so those suggestions are out of the question.

I have a Collie X and she needs lots of exercise - which I give her....I take her out before going to work (most mornings) and always after work and even during my lunch. She has started escaping from my property recently but never goes far (and I have done my best to train her to be "street wise" but who can be too sure?). She has always come back and has either never gone far or to a place that is familiar (dog park). I am hoping that its early days and so am hoping that this behavour can be stopped....I have a fully fenced property - there are no visible escape routes.....any ideas??

Any complications? Has anyone spayed their female dog while in heat? Any advice on overnight clinics compared to day surgery clinics?

I was looking at some very old pictures of the GSDs my Grandfather's family bred back in Germany and they looked much stronger and sturdier. What happened to the modern GSD in the States?

My dog has been on revolution since I got him at 6 months. I have never used revolution before him.

When I go to the drawer where his revolution is he cringes. The minute I take it out of the drawer he runs away and hides.
I usually find him cowering under or behind things. When I ask him to come out he slinks out with his tail between his legs and head down.

He sits in front of me cowering and trying to make himself as small as possible. When I put it on he is fine. There is no irritation, no redness, no disorientation, no salivating, nothing absolutely nothing is wrong. Once it is over he is back to his normal bouncy self.

I have showed the vet and they say nothing is wrong besides he doesn't like it but it is the best thing on the market. I figured he would get over it but he hasn't. Every month he acts like I am trying to kill him. Has this happened to anyone else? I have tried training and nothing matters. Any ideas?

The breeders that sold her to me told me I can't breed her (even if I do breed her w/another small male) because she could end up having a full sized chi baby and its not safe. Right now shes 5 mo old and not yet 3 lbs.

alright...i gave in and we got a damn french poodle, because that is what my wife wanted. at first i told my wife i wanted a bulldog---there's the french bulldog and the english bulldog, and i wanted the english bulldog cause the english aren't anti-american, anti-democracy traitors. when she said she wanted a french poodle, i said let's compromise and get a french bulldog, but i couldn't change her mind no matter how hard i tried. so we got the poodle and now she wants to name it fifi...i swear to god my skin would melt off if i spoke the word fifi outloud. can you imagine having to yell that out your back door to get the stupid dog back inside? again, i proposed a compromise where we get the dog she wants but i get to name it. i was thinking we'd name it something manly, like bruce willis or john wayne, but she'll have none of that. we're talking about my basic human rights here...i should have a say. i need some advice on how to go about this folks.

My dog stretches her front legs out straight and pushes them against me any time I say the word "love". We started that by her sitting and her putting her front legs on me and I would say " I love you, Tatum" and pull at her legs.

Does something like living alone and working full time or being barely an adult knock you off the list with no further questions asked?

Wondering for future refference.
