Australia has the highest percentage of morbidly obese pets. I think it's sick and disgusting letting animals die because the culture feels feeding=love. Most people feed that nasty chum stuff or bucket o beef (barf). Work with your vet to figure out a good schedule for the RAW diet. Your dog will make so many improvements you'll think its a totally different dog. I wouldn't recommend Nutro in coutries with a long list of good foods, but in Australia, Nutro natural choice is probably the best you can get.

Talk to your vet first, but I've heard lots of good things about the green bean diet. Feed your dog an appropriate amount of a weight loss dog food, and then add a cupful of green beans to her food. She will feel full, without all the extra calories. Check with your vet, first, of course.

DO NOT feed dogs the amount that it says on the can, use half of that for feeding, they want to sell dog food, so they tell you to feed them too much. My "Holly" is 1/2 Lab, and 1/2 "God knows what", She gets a can of Iam's for dinner, and 6-8 "Milk Bones" for breakfast, and plenty of water, she goes out in the yard and barks, runs around, plays with my 4 yr old son, she is VERY healthy, acts like a pup, is 50 Lbs (small but muscular), and is almost 10 years old. A "Thin" dog, is a "HEALTHY" dog. "Dog's are classified as "Scavengers", and will keep eating until they fall over. What dogs can't eat, they will bury until later, that's why they dig holes.

It is best to get your dog to lose weight under the guidance of a vet. Make an appointment and get her throughly checked out to make sure her weight hasn't caused any other problems. Then you need to find a suitable low calorie diet for her and stick to it, gradually increasing her exercise (as that really is the quickest way to burn off fat) and hopefully she wont suffer anymore.

feed her less and walk with her more. There's no important differences between dog food brands. It's like people - burn more calories than you can obtain.
