She can absolutely get pregnant and he can absolutely be responsible for getting her that way. According to AKC the male must be 7 months old in order to register any pups from the litter with them. The male can actually impregnate the female at younger then 7 months old. It can happen in a heartbeat so if you want to be responsible you can't allow them to be together at all for the duration of her heat cycle. The heat cycle lasts about 3 weeks and it supposedly consists of a week coming in, a week in, and a week going out however all dogs (like humans) are individuals so I would keep them apart for the entire 3 weeks.

Yes, he can. Most dogs become fertile between 4-6 months of age, so he's definitely old enough.
You should get them both fixed asap. Not only are there already too many unwanted animals in the world, pregnancy is also risky - a lot of things can go wrong and at 18 months, she's too young for it (meaning she's not physically developed enough yet and pregnancy would be hard on her, NOT that she can't get pregnant yet!).
Apart from that, fixing pets (and therefore avoiding the hormone rush they're otherwise exposed to) is good for their health - it greatly reduces the risk of several cancers, including mammary, and a few other diseases. It also makes them less likely to run away in search of a mate, and in the boy's case, less like to be aggressive and fight.
Please call you vet *today* and get them both fixed as soon as possible!

Yep!! Why aren't your pets fixed? I'd get it done ASAP! There are too many unwanted pets and a male will roam around trying to find a female in heat and a female in heat is a huge responsibility. You have to be really careful with a female because dogs will jump a fence to get to a female in heat and you can't take them for walks because a male will pick up the scent and follow them home.
Get her spayed or be REALLY careful!!
Oh, and males are able to impregnate a female from about 6 mo. of age.

Yes it certainly possible. You should keep them away from each other until she is out of heat. You should get them altered as well if they are not breeding quality and you don't plan to do that.

Yes he can. The only problem I have seen with a young male is that they get excited but sometimes they don't quite know what to do.
