alright so my yorkie terier mix was found as a puppy on the streets.she is the most adorable thing in the world and i love her to death.so one day we went on a trip ad we left her with the neighbor who has two poodles. She fell in love with the neighbor and her dogs and now were sharing custody with her which drives me insane ill go to school and come back and find out my dogs at the neighbors...it sux... our neighbor has no life and treats the dogs like people she coooks them chicken and they have thiier own electricc blankets and so when she does come home shell refuse to eat and my mom freeks and sends her across the street...after a week or so she starts eating kibble tho..she spends three times more time at the neighbors then our house.
1) How can i get my dog to stay at our house longer?! the neighbors at work almost all day!!
2)how can i pamper my dog for little or no $$$
3)what are some trix i cood teech her?(she only nos sit.)

Alrigfht shes not running away my mom basically gives her to the neightbor for a "playdate" and she ends up there for 2 weeks cuz my neighbor works all day... we already have another dog she plays with and my parwents and the neighbor now how i feel about it. My neighbor wont feed her kibble cuz then shes feeding the other dogs chicken and tuna and salmosn and says its "noit fair" and she basically does pay her share cuz all our dog food goes to the other dog while she pays for the expensive junka nd takes her to get her haircut(which is gay..)

Stop taking her over to your neighbors house! She will get attached to the neighbor and her dogs. Get another dog for her to play with while you are at school. Another small one from the shelter would be great. Get a crate and give her lots of toys to play with while you are gone. You need to stick up for yourself, tell your neighbor to go buy another dog if she wants one, not to "share" your dog.
Kongs are great toys. Get a few of those and they will last years! Groom her (professional grooming would probably be needed a few times per year) and love her, that's all you need to do. You don't need to cook special food for her just to prove that you are a good dog owner, your neighbor is a fool to cook special meals for their dogs.
Sit can be a great advantage. I'm not a dog trainer so I can't give that kind of help. Get a professional trainer to help with tricks.
Also, if your neighbor still wants to "share" your dog, and YOU are happy with that, get her to pay half of what you need to pay for food. If she wants to share custody of this dog, she will need to chip in to pay for the dog, too.

This doesn't address your question about culling, other than..It is too soon to tell. If the Catahoulas are of the 'patchwork' pattern, they can continue to develop pigmentation for several weeks, and may not be as white as they seem. ( Just as Dalmatians develop spots as they grow) They may or may not end up as 'excessive white'. By the time that they are 8 weeks old, the breeder will know if there are any deaf or blind puppies. However, the apparently healthy EW pups should go to homes that have an understanding that there is a small possibility of demodex or other skin problems. Unless both parents are double merle, then there is little concern over the other genetic issues, such as intestinal problems. The breeder should counsel with an experienced Catahoula mentor to learn more about the statistics. ( having pedigree in hand)

You can put a fence up, or get a chain or something, try to pay a lot of attention to her, go for runns with her, i think you should ask your neighbor if she would stop feeding your dog. Or even just say that you don't want your dog their ask your neighbor if she could send your dog back home. Just keep her home
Tricks: Lay down, stay (could come in handy in your case lol) roll over, beg, dance, lots of thing

Ask your neighbor politely not to feed your dog anymore. Give your neighbor some of the food your dog normally eats so when your dog goes to visit your neighbor she eats the same food. After a while she'll go back to her normal. Give your dog more attention, play with her, go to the Dollar Store and buy her a dog toy or a treat. Do not hesitate to tell your neighbor how you feel. After all, she is YOUR DOG...

It sounds like you are not ready for the responsibility of have a pet. One does not let a pet roam free. You are 100% responsible for anything that happens and it sounds like you just want a pet when you feel like it. Give to the neighbor and maybe you can visit there. The dog is confused. If the neighbor doesnt want full responsibility then find someone who does. Maybe you should get a gold fish.

Yorke's have a extreme loyalty to their appetites. They are little hogs in a dog suit.
The danger for any Yorkie is being fed the wrong diet. if so they will [not might but will] develop pancreatic Tumors. a disease that will kill them.
Their delicate system will not tolerate a high protein or high fat diet.. Science diet lamb and rice is the best for any healthy Yorkie it is the only diet for a Yorkie who has developed pancreatic problems.
That said Yorke's demand lots of attention love and a very gentle approach. yelling or abusing them in any way will cost you the affection of your pet. They are not like most dogs who forgive and forget easily. YORKE'S HOLD A GRUDGE !!! for a long time.

it sounds like your dog is getting spoiled and she doesnt know who her master is anymore. you need to keep her at home and get into a regular routine of eating and sleeping where you say she can. dogs will run all over you if you let them and can become very spoiled and learn bad habits quickly. get a good dog obedience book from the library or there are some free classes that you could get into

Just don't send her to the neighbors and when you are home with her take her for walks and play with her. hide a treat in the house and have her find it groom her, bake her homemade dog treats, just love her

my friends dog did that with us it always came over because they were not treating the dog right but Im not saying your not just maybe pay attention to her more then you have and play with her then she will start staying with you more hope that helps.

i would put up a fence so she can not get to the neighbors house. if this does not work or can not be done. then she is not to be let of a leash when outside. or give her to your neighbor.
