I dont care if its a siberian husky or not, people do it and they should face jail time, just like child neglect, if you disagree than your an half brain idiot.

I have a 7 month-old female Pekingnese dog, whom I've been having walked daily while I'm at work (approximately 8 hour days). Initially,I had her walked 2x's p/day when she was a small puppy, then down to 1 walk p/day, and now, she is definitely capable of long-term bladder control. Unfortunately, finances have become strained, so the $12 p/day walks are frankly not possible. I'm wondering if others who work use dog walkers and if so, how frequently? I have friends in the city with small dogs who work full-time & don't use dog walkers at all. I don't want to be a bad dog parent-of course, if $ were no object, I would do it for her getting xtra attentiion/exercise while I'm @ work--it's just that now it may not be possible. She loves her crate, so I would be crateing her or confining her to a small space via doggie gate. Does she still NEED the dog walker? Thank you!

I need advice on citronella, sound, or shock collars. I have a 3 yr. old terrier mix that I can't train out of barking at neighbors, other dogs, birds, kids, etc. I've tried a lot of things. We live in apartments & walk her in a popular public park. I'd love to hear anyone's advise or experience.

I have a dog that is 6 moths old. My dog wont stop coughing and sneezing since I’ve bought him. I took him to the vet and the veterinary doesn’t know what he has. I though it was a cold at first but its not. The veterinarian gave my dog medicine but nothing has changed. Than I’ve noticed that the only time he cough and sneezes is when he is near my carpet in my room and in my whole house.
I want to know if any one knows of any medicine that will help my dog or any shots that will help him. Because I tried all kinds of medicine and nothing works for him.

Write back lizcanoemiy@yahoo.com
Thanks Emily

Our new dog seems to be claustrophobic. We got her from a shelter, so she's not a puppy. My mom says if we can't get her to use her kennel in a week and a half, we won't be able to keep her. Can any of you help me?

I just moved into a house that I'm sharing. The roommates have a dog (half rot, half lab) that they got from the pound one month ago. He's showing me some odd behavior and I need some suggestions on how to stop this.

He's very unsure about me, he will walk cautiously toward me, but mostly keeps his distance. He'll let me pet him if he gets close, but he clearly doesn't feel comfortable with me. If I encounter him in the hallway, sometimes he will growl and/or show me his teeth. When he does this I tell him no and he backs down and walks away.

I am concerned that he has the potential to bite, so I think some action is needed. Can anyone give me advice?

I just moved into a new house with a 4' chain link fence. My 5 yr. old rotty can literally leap over it from basically standing still. I fear for his safety if he runs the roads. I looked into a larger fence but money is an issue. He has had extensive training but when he gets a scent there is nothing that can stop him from wandering. I looked into 'invisible fence' but it is just way too expensive. I want to be able to install a doggie door in the house and just let him come and go as he pleases. Anybody have any creative ideas that would work very cheap and on the fly? The yard is about a 1/2 of an acre, pretty square and the chain link goes all the way around with a double gate up front.

I have a female great pyrenees/german shepard/rottie cross that is 9 months old. She is a wonderful dog, but she has a horrible habit of dragging our outdoor cat around by the neck. Our cat is very docile and is very used to dogs so she doesn't react at all, she just lays there. Her neck is now completely bald. How do I stop this bad behaviour before the poor cat gets killed??

Unfortunately I dont have 24 hours a day to play with my dog. He seems happy. But I noticed that he likes to stay in his 'room' and sleep all day. (hehe) I guess he doesnt like to get out a lot.. BUT, its probably because hes soo bored. its the same thing day in and day out. Does he need a friend or something cool to play with?

Addison's requires a monthly injection of Percorten, depending on the dose your dog requires ( my guy needs 2mls) it is expensive. Does anyone know if there is anything out there that would allow an injection every few months? There are pills avalible but he would need to take up to 10 pills a day (5 in a.m. and 5 in p.m.)

I have a rott puppy, 10 wks old. I have always been afraid to get one, because I have kids and the stories are awful. My husband wanted one, he says its not the dogs, its the owners, so we got him. He is the sweetest, cutest smartest dog I have ever owned. I can't imagine him turning out bad. But I still am worried. Any advice?
