In your house. She should be part of the family!

Inside, with you! Dogs are pack animals and need to live inside with their humans.

If you can't always keep your dog inside, a large and securely fenced yard with an appropriately sized dog house, and a big bucket of water works pretty well. You can pick up premade plastic dog houses and dog-loos (looks like an igloo!) at most pet stores, or you can make a dog house yourself. If you make one, make sure it conforms to the standards of dog housing in your city. Some cities have pretty strict rules on how dog houses are susposed to be built.

If you don't have a fenced yard, try a premade dog kennel. You can pick them up at Home Depot, and they come in a standard 6x10 size, or you can make one yourself. Your dog still needs a decent dog house, and water always available. Be sure to bring him in as much as possible

Whatever you do, don't keep him tied up. This causes dogs to become aggressive and develop other behavioral issues.

Hope this helps!

In the home with you where it is safe and warm and gets the right kind of things to eat. Snuggle it into it's own bed. Dogs give back ten fold over what you give to them. Make it a member of your family which is what you should always do when deciding to take on the responsibility of a pet.

Well, if you have a friend then that would probably be best. Someone you trust, a boyfriend maybe? Or you could give them to a vet clinic just for boarding, they usually have vollunteers to play with your dog, so dont feel bad for caging him up.

Do you want to know where to leave your dog when you must be away from home for a number of days? You can ask friends or family you trust to keep your dog (and don't forget to offer to pay for the inconvenience or offer to do the same for them when they go on vacation), or ask the dog-owners whose opinions you trust to recommend a kennel, or ask your vet if they kennel well dogs or recommend someone who does.

If you choose a kennel, check the place out yourself, ask to see where the dogs are kept and where they are exercised, if the dogs need special inoculations before they'll keep them. (And if they don't, DON'T LEAVE YOUR DOG THERE. The inoculations are as much for your pet's protection as they are for the kennel's and the other dogs.) If you don't like the looks, or sounds, or the smells (A little fresh "poop" is normal. But you might want to keep your eyes open to see how long it takes for it to get cleaned up. And if the smell is unbearable, leave ASAP.) of the place, keep looking.

Are you asking inside or outside? In my opinion, inside. If you want a dog for a pet, you need to live with it.

If you're asking whether to use a crate or not, we found a crate greatly helpful in training our dog. It kept the carpets (mostly) free from "accidents," and helped him to learn what was appropriate and inappropriate behavior without tearing our apartment apart.

Are you asking where to put its crate? You want to put it someplace where the puppy can feel like part of the family when crated, some place out of drafts, where he/she can go to feel safe.

We have a open plan kitchen-living room area. Our Chihuahua Stanly has his crate just inside the kitchen area, under the counter which kind of delineates the kitchen from the living room. There he can see us in either area. The counter keeps his crate from being accidentally knocked about, and keeps the traffic pattern from being too much of a distraction when he's trying to nap.

We no longer have to crate him, except if we're both going to be gone for a number of hours. When we're home, he just crates himself if he wants to be alone, and at bedtime.

In your house! Dogs are pack animals and being thrown outside with litter human contact can mentally ruin the dog. Plus, it's not safe during cold or hot weather.Hypothermia and heat stroke are terrible ways to die!

Inside your own home. Aren't they worth that at the very least? If not, reconsider owning one.
