My chihuahua had the same problem until I got another. Now the two play all day. They have races around the house, play tug o war with their toys and clean eachother. I think the best solution would be to visit your local animal shelter and pick out another small dog with a good energy level to keep him occupied. Most shelters will let you bring your current dog with you to see if he will get along with the new dog. It really doesn't take much more time or money to have two dogs as opposed to one and if you go to the shelter, for a small adoption fee you get a dog who has already been fixed, has had all their shots, and is usually microchipped. It's a great deal and you'll save a life!

Chihuahua and toy chihuahua are small, and are walkers.
Though the natural world of a dog is run and chew. The
kennel clubs adore toy dogs for duties, chores, and visits.
Because of the adorable size and their purebred qualities a
good question to me is why is there a dog after thousands of
years to learn to be a chihuahua in genetic evolutions? The
answer is spirit. Dogs are unique to this area, they are naturally
fun, interested, and participant to many activities. Small dog
clubs, kennel shows, have regular activities, and getting a
membership can include friends, the more the better. Though
with tiny dogs one must be very careful and study the matchup
to good friends that are safe. Here is some more ideas.

Get him a little kong and stuff it with yummies and freeze it. They actually post "recipes" on their website, but its really anything that is dog-friendly(even water, dogs love ice cubes...)... anyway kongs are the toughest toys that i know of (unless someone can post and say otherwise) and they won't wear out or risk your dog swallowing a part, and also they can be reused. They keep puppy busy trying to get the stuff out, which also feeds his hunting/entertainment instincts. I personally am not a fan of kong stuff'n because it's too easy to get out, but I LOVE freezing peanut butter in it. Of course, you need to make sur ethat you're not giving your dog too many treats, but it is a good way to keep puppy entertained and busy. If you join their newsletters you get signed up to get (win) all sorts of cool kong stuff! (I swear to you I have no affiliation with the Kong company, though I know it sound like I do...) I also like Nylbones. The ones shaped like dinosaurs... they last and my dog loves them. I'm suggesting hard toys because soft toys could be chewed apart/choked on and are not good for un-watched animals.

You could get him a Kong to play with during the day, and also a treat ball (it is a ball that you put food in and when the dog plays with it the food will slowly come out). I use them with my dogs and have had good luck with both of them.

Sounds like you have yourself a bored little dog you should get some nylabones for him to chew on. A friend is always good too. A dog the same size is always a good time.

kong's toy with treats in it. It keeps my puppy occupy for up to an hr. When he goes to his room, just give hims lots of toys. It seems like dogs like to explore different toys.
When you can spend time with him, take him to a park or other places where your dog can socialize with other dogs

just your average stuff, dog bones raw hides ect. you can get him a ball to play with he might be the kind who likes to nose the ball along the floor and run after it all tho he'll likely chew it too so you may have to replace it often. if he likes tug of war try getting a rope and tieing one end of it to an eye hook and screw the hook into the floor so he can play by himself.
