There is none. Cat food has a higher content of protein and fat than dog food. None are harmful, though amino acids included, like taurine, and completely unnecessary for dogs and you're paying for stuff that is not necessary, so it's a waste of money, and it isn't balanced for a dog so youre wasting the protein and making your dog fat. If a dog gets a little cat food from the cat bowl once in a while it's fine, but do not feed doggy your kitty food on a regular basis.

It's not that cat food is especially harmful to dogs, it's just that the balance of protein, carbs, fiber, vitamins, and minerals isn't appropriate for dogs at all. It is also very fattening! If the dog gets into the kitty food occasionally, that's OK, but I wouldn't feed it as a primary food.

Most dogs can not digest fish oils and alot of cat foods add this to flavor the food. It takes a lot of cat food though to harm a dog. We had a cocker spainiel growing up that only every wanted to eat cat food, next to being allergic to fleas she was perfectly health.

Cats choose flavor--they devour what tastes the superb. dogs devour to devour. yet, they too will chosen the superb flavor if given a call. If dogs and cats devour each and each others food often times, that is not a large deal. If the cat isn't eating its food, i'd examine the substances and word if possibly it really is often filler instead of meat proteins and fat. change meals even if it really is. base line is you want to work out the element list. submit it and allow us see what you're providing your pets. The taurine it quite is needed by technique of cats is significant to have in cat food, quite if the cat isn't outdoors catching birds, mice, etc or not eating meat.

Unless of coarse, you are one of the rare people who know the ew dog foods out there that are made of human grade meat.
