you can go to walmart or your local pet supply store and buy puppy milk. If the puppy will eat can food and drink water it should be ok though. If you are still concerned take the puppy to your vet and have it checked out. What kind of puppy is it?

My family and I had some American Bulldog puppies and when they started to walk a little, we mixed some of the Pedigree wet puppy food with some Similac baby formula. They got big and plump, but not overweight. No one could beleive what we were feeding them but they said that they were big and healthy looking. If you don't want to do that, you can go to the vet and they should give you some type of puppy formula. I hope you find what you're looking for. Good Luck!!!!!!

From experience, I have a 2 year old Golden Retriever and its mother smothered his brother and sister while nursing. So he was weened early.
Our vet said that before 12 weeks is ify to take a puppy off of formula. It is true that they make puppy formula, but what the vet suggested is that we use enfamil or similac with lipil and iron. It gives the pup what it needs to grow up healthy.

Puppies are lactose-intolerant. He will end up with bad diarrhea if you give him cow's milk and could become quickly dehydrated. Use a milk replacement, like di-vetelact. If you are feeding him good quality food, he should be getting all the calcium the pup needs. But daily puppy vitamins are recommended, too. You can give him water and lactose-free formula, just not cow's milk.

I've used canned milk, Pet or Carnation in the past. You might consult a vet to see about adding some form of vitamins also. I also used to mix a raw egg in "occasionally" for a little extra protien, but you can call any vet's office and they'll be glad to tell you more than I can.

Go to Petco, Petsmart, Walmart, or Target and get puppy milk replacer powder. You can add water and the dry iams to the powder, and then run it through either a blender or a food processor. Then the puppy should be able to eat it pretty easily.

Puppies do need milk but as long as it is eatting the dry food I would get a purina puppy chow and feed as directed on the bag.
you might want to put it in some warm water, or go by your local vets office and pick up a carton of puppy milk to warm and add to the dry and mash it up like oatmeal....

If the puppy is weaned and eating iams, it does not require milk. But if he is not completely weaned, they sell puppy milk formulas at the vet and pet stores.
