were getting a maltese in about 2 weeks and we cant deside on a name. we know that the name has to start with the letter P because our other 2 pets names are pepper and paula. so we came up with a few names (and also we dont know wether were getting a boy or a girl)
paige,

paisley,

presley,

piper,

phoenix,

porter,

and my friend has a dog named bubba and she thinks it will be cool if i name my dog forrest, but that obviously starts with an F so then she suggested spelling it like phorrest, so the "ph" make a "f" sound like they do in the word "phone" but i think phorrest looks kinda weird. so outta thoes names i listed which do you like best. and also feel free to suggest other cute names that start with P

I rescued this 3-4 month old puppy from the pound. They have her named Lacy but it is too close to my other dog Lucy. She is a shepperd/lab and already huge. Her color is brindle and a jet black fase.she is very playful when Lucy is around and just as laid back as can be when seperated. Any Ideas on a new name for this cutie!!

I seen a coon break in to my neighbors pitbull kennel and the pitbull chased it around for a while then killed it. The coon couldn't get out. The pit bull tore the coon to shreds then ate it. There was fur everywhere. Do pitbulls not like coons?

i lost my boxer about 13 months ago and i miss him so much...but when zuess died the day before he was jumping around and running just everywhere this was unusual for him ... he would normal go crazy for just a few mins then stop. he was acting strange wouldnt leave me or visitors alone he was licking them and just wouldnt settle down at all.....the next morning i put him out for a wee and everything seemed good he was only out for a few mins and then he came in he looked abit lethargic but nothing too bad but within a few mins he just went and layed down.his breathing was abit laboured but not too bad he seem to be looking or staring out into space i tried to get him up to get him to the vets but couldnt get him to move he was to heavy for me to lift 40 kilos i went to go to my dads and get him to help but when we got back he was gone within a hour can anyone suggest what it may have been that took my baby the vet said maybe a snake or cardiomyopothy any ideas anyone

I have a 4-5 lb Maltese who's almost 5 months old, and I was eating a small packet of those Famous Amos miniature-cookies (it has small milk-chocolate chips in it), and, like a complete IDIOT, I left about 3/4 of a mini-cookie on the coffee table while I ran to the kitchen for a napkin. I came back to find the cookie on the floor, and my pup trying to eat it. Who knows, she could have eaten some of it! I live in a small town & all the vet offices are closed. Is she doomed?? PLEASE help!

my dog have suffer from this epilepsy since he was 4 years old. i dun know where this epilepsy cames from. i've 4 dogs, one of them is their mother. none from my others dogs have this epilepsy. i've check to the best doctor, even she said this epilepsy will never be cured. iam so hopeless with it. seeing my dog miseribble from epilepsy. my sister said we better let him go. bring it to the doctor and ask for sleeping injection so my dog will not feel pain before he die. but i dunknow about that idea, coz i really dun have a guts to do it. but in the other side its the best for him so he will not suffer anymore. he's my father's beloved pet. my father never agree with sleeping injection. he doesn't have a heart to do it. he said his dog deserve to life even with that epilepsy. my sister and i said it will be very mean if we let him life with that condition cos everytime its attacked him, there will be blood everywhere and he always feel tired and uncouncious, he feel pain everytime.help!

Our healthy 10 year old lab will not listen to anything our husband and I ask her to do. She just stares at us and refuses to do. We are becoming so frustrated. She has had her eyes and her hearing checked and both are fine. She will not sit or stay anymore, something she previously did with no trouble. She is defiant climbing on the furniture, drinking out of the toilet, eating the cat's food. We can't leave her by herself at all without "dogproofing" the entire house. She is wearing one of those Elizabethan collars right now because she constantly licks and chews at her skin and she has several raw sore spots that she keeps reopening after they've started to heal. The vet says she's just getting older and we'll have to live with it. She is driving us nuts and we need another solution to the problem. If anyone has any ingenious ideas for dealing with this dog I'd be thrilled to hear them Thanks alot.
