I have a 1 year old daughter and i would like to get a boxer pup but i dont want my girl to hurt the pup or the pup to hurt my girl .So how old do you think a child should be before getting a pup?

Ok-Here is my question.....

Where can i get a Border collie (mix)?I have searched through petfinder and cant seem to find one i like or is near??And a bunch of them have really high (to a 12 year old)!

Well here is the must haves:

1.can be any color,
2.Has to be a baby puppy
3.has to be in or very close to TN
4.needs to be a cheap adoption fee!
5. needs to be on the smaller size!
Please give me the link of where you found the puppys!

Im a new dog owner and know that potty training and kennel training is alot of work. What exactly is kennel training? Is that just getting them used to being in their kennel when youre gone? What are some tips you have for housebreaking a new puppy? Any advice, tips would be great thanks!! And i dont care that puggles are a breed between beagles/pugs I dont want any mean comments from people who insist these are just mutts and shouldnt be bred! Just nice people who have good advice for a new puppy owner! Thanks again!

I have a Cairn Terrier and I love her. She is about 5 and she is my bestfriend. I was wondering does anyone else have a Cairn terrier? If so what is its name and do you have any funny or cool stories about your dog? I am becoming concerned about my dog Jackie. She is beginning to get bald spots and loose hair near/under both her back legs. I first thought it was nothing to be worried about when it was small..but now the spot is getting bigger and there is another area or baldness under her stomach/belly area. Im wondering if I should get her checked out or if it is minor then I can treat it myself...? suggestions?

If I give my dog one of those raw hide bones, he paces around with it and whines! Sometimes he will finally chill out and chew it and enjoy it. But for the most part, he will go on and on whinning and pacing until I finnally take it away. What could this strange behavior mean?

I am very over whelmed. I try my best to keep my 2 pit pupps in a clean environment, etc. The thing is that i just found out they got fleas, and I bought flea shampoo which I hope will work out for them. But then I also noticed that one of my pups has some skin rashes by the mouth, and I don't know if that's because the other pup hurt him last time that they got in a fight. Also one of them has like 3 areas by his tail that looks like the hair is fallin off, and I don't know if it's allergies or because of the fleas. I want to do something right away so I can finish with all these "hygiene" problems, but I can't trust nothing nomore; I'm scared of spending money on something that might not work. I once spend money on revolution and frontline treatment from a vet, and they charge way to much even to go for a vet visit, when in reality, it gives no effect on my pups. I just need something good and reliable, and that will actually keep my pups flea free and with clean coat and skin.

I was told as 10 or as long as 20 days...

My new baby girl Daisy Mae has Kennel Cough, she is on Clavamox .3cc every 12 hours & Benylin 1cc every 8-12 hours (I've been doing 12)

I feel so bad for her and want her to heal up, the coughing wakes her.. and me in the middle of the night too :(

Any tricks beyond the meds that may help her?
