I have a 9 month old Frenchie that just came into heat yesterday and I just need to knoe how long I need to watch her. I have no males in my household but I know there are straglers out there.

the heat cycle can last up to 3 weeks, although she will not bleed the whole time. when she stops bleeding will be when she can be bred, so if you don't want puppies, keep a very close eye on her.

The stages last about a total of 3 weeks. While your dog is not in standing heat the whole time, she still needs to be kept away from all males the whole time.

Usually 21 to 25 days depending on the breed. Toy breeds a bit less.
