Boxers are not normally considered dangerous as a breed. Almost any dog can become "dangerous" if they are not properly trained and socialized. What ever breed that you get, remember to take your dog to obedience school and keep up with the socialization on him. For example, I had taken in a Mastiff for boarding. Mastiffs as a breed normally are not biters. Well, this girl was a fear biter, she bit me pretty bad and I needed to be on antibiotics for it. It was a fear bite. I had told the owner to take her to a trainer that I reccommend highly and the response to me was that it was too much money. Getting a dog entails much more than just feeding, watering and giving the dog its shots. This Mastiff was just poorly socialized. I told the owner that I was glad that she bit me and not a child, and I also told the owner that she was going to have a very dangerous dog on her hands if she did not take her in for training.

As a majority? Gods no!! Oh wait - there is a danger of being licked to death.

As a whole, Boxers are sweeties. They love people, they relate to people, and they're perpetual puppies off the job (if they have one, which they should). Marshmellows, as I call them. Yeah, they're mischevious. And without proper mental stimulation, they're destructive. But with the right kind of person, Boxers are wonderful dogs.

I've lived with a total of four Boxers, one English Springer Spaniel, and one English Bulldog. Guess out of those three breeds the one set of dogs I haven't been bit by? The Boxers.

But, there are unfortunate exceptions. There are oens that have extremely poor - and even incestal - breeding. There are ones owned by idiots who thought to train them to be aggressive - which in the end, screws a Boxer up so horribly. There are ones with cruel lives and crueler owners.

As a whole, though, you are looking at a loving breed. Some people just can't figure out when a Boxer isn't meant for them.

Boxers are big, powerful dogs. Their jaws aren't as strong as a pit bull's, but they're still capable of doing a lot of damage as compared to other breeds. But obviously a dog is only dangerous if its personality is aggressive.

A dog's personality is a combination of nature and nurture. A dog's nature means that this part of his personality is hardwired into his blood. For example, if you have a dog whose nature is to be dominant, you're not going to be able to train him to suddenly become really submissive. Even if he listens to you, he's always going to have a bossy personality. The nurture part of a dog's personality is what you've made it to be through the dog's experiences. If you socialize your puppy really well and train him kindly, it's going to be of great benefit to his personality.

Some boxers are very aggressive dogs. A boxer like this probably has it in his nature through poor breeding, and then it's reinforced by the owner doing a bad job of training the dog. A dog that has it in his genes to tend to be aggressive isn't suddenly going to be super friendly with good training, but his inherited aggressive traits will become controllable if he's socialized and trained properly.

But other boxers are really friendly and non-aggressive. These dogs likely had friendly parents, and were raised well so that they're not suspicious of people.

So in short, it depends on how the dog was bred and raised. Some boxers are dangerous, others aren't. A boxer from good breeders should NOT be dangerous, as long as it's well socialized and trained. If you're interested in getting a boxer, make sure that the parents of the pup are really friendly and non-aggressive.

Boxers are big strong dogs that need owners committed to training them properly and raising them in loving homes. Many dog breeds can be dangerous if they are not raised properly and boxers are no exception. Properly cared for, Boxers can be wonderful dogs.

Properly trained and cared for Boxers are an excellent breed of dogs. They are quite happy and fun dogs to be around. But like any breed, poor care or training (or lack of) can result in an aggressive dog.

Boxers ARE known for jumping up on people and body-slamming them, but they don't do it to be mean. Boxers are VERY sweet dogs, but I have a fake tooth becuase of a boxer that body-slammed me.

ANY dog can be dangerous, it just depends on how they are raised. (there have been fatalities due to YORKIE attacks, I am not kidding)

Yes they are. You can drown in their slobber. If you cannot handle dog flatulence, then boxers can be extremely dangerous. Mine is terribly dangerous to flower beds and shrubs.

Any dog... ANY dog can be dangerous. The only dog that ever bit me was a chihuahua. (after it bit me, I ran over it with my bike!)

What's with you & all the boxer questions?

Boxers have been bred to be endure baiters. As such they may be ferocious and shielding. they have an tremendously reliable bitepersistent, so which you should take care on which behaviors you motivate. merely like all tremendous breed, they may be risky if no longer dealt with properly. in spite of the undeniable fact that, as a lengthy time boxer proprietor, they're the silliest, maximum loveable, character crammed canines I certainly have ever had. they're soft, and does no longer harm a mouse. they're additionally various paintings. they have limitless capability, and except you're prepared to put in one million-3 hours an afternoon exercising and coaching your boxer will in all hazard be unfavorable and stressful. do no longer pay too lots interest to those "stats" as they're often skewed. In north usa, the tremendous majority of bites and maulings come from Labs and small poodles, by means of fact there are so darned a lot of them! do no longer placed too lots inventory into the various canines bite learn accessible, by means of fact a lot of them have been discredited by using peer assessment by means of inadequate archives or irrelevant archives processing. Any canines could nicely be risky, some breeds have extra aggresive tendancies than others. the form you enhance and practice your canines can maximize or cut back those tendancies. in case you have never had a canines formerly, please are not getting a boxer. they seem to be a problematic breed to coach, and their capability and length could make an unwell-experienced one a nightmare to guard. they're mind-blowing canines, i admire them to products, yet no longer a reliable decision for one without lots adventure, or without lots time to take a place.
