Well here is the must haves:

2.Has to be a baby puppy
3.has to be in or very close to TN
4.needs to be a cheap adoption fee!
5. needs to be on the smaller size!
Please give me the link of where you found the puppys!

you may find one in a shelter, but unless they know for sure, that it has BC in it, you don't know, and then what is it mixed with?
You want something smaller, so you have to know the breeds of the other parent. going to be hard. try some of the links already given. also try googling Border Collie Resue groups.
Just a thought. there is such a thing now as a miniature austrailian shephard. don't see too many of them
just thought i'd run that by you. but you said it has to be cheap. not the case.
i would try all the rescue groups. sometimes you may find one hundreds of miles from you, but sometimes they will pay to get the dog to you. no kidding!!
Can I ask why it's got to be a BC mix? you can email me if you like

Keep your eye on the local papers. Here in Clarksville, once it warms up, I've even seen people on the side of the roads giving away Border Collie mixes. You might try the freestuffTN Yahoo Group too. Good luck in your quest. I've had a Border Collie and would love to have another one some day.

Ok, I went to http://www.petfinder.com I used the search criteria
Animal=Dog
Age=Baby
Breed=Border Collie
State=TN

I came up with at least 50 pups to match what you want.

Adoption fees may seem high but they cover the costs of vaccines, food, and possible spay and neuter.

Dogs are by no means cheap pets.

I can't post the link to my search results, as it will not work.
