You need to buy an ear cleaning liquid. Saturate a Cotton ball, put in dogs ear and massage it. Pull Cotton ball out, repeat until Cotton ball comes out clean. you can use baby wipes to clean the inside of the ear that you can reach with your finger. Do NOT use Q-Tips in the ear. If you push the Cotton ball to far in then let the dog shake his head and that will bring the Cotton ball out.

First go to the pet store and there is a dog ear cleaning liquid thing. Once you get that get a q-tip and the just clean it gently rubbing the q-tip softly in the ear.

You can get pretreated cleaning pads made for cleaning the dogs ears. Never stick anything down in the dogs ears. Ask your groomer or vet to show you how to clean the ears

buy dog ear cleaner from a pet store. get q-tips and put a small amount of the cleaner on the q-tip. then use the q-tip to clean his/her ears.
before you do this, you should smell your dog's ears first. if they smell unusual, then you should take your dog to the vet. they might have an ear infection that needs to be treated.
