You have to consider putting her down as sad as it is to think of. She nips at you because she's hurting. Talk to your vet and then make a decision.
Good luck.

If the only problems are
1. Hearing
2. Eyesight
3. Bladder control
there shouldn't be a reason to euthanize her. What you need to do, though, is take her to a vet. There could be other problems going on inside. Aggression towards an owner usually means there's some sort of confusion going on in her head. Either that, or she's in great pain. There may be a medication she can be put on or a special diet. Talk to the vet and see what is best.

If there is something else wrong, you may want to consider putting her to sleep. I know it's hard, believe me. But you have to put her needs before your own desires. If she is in pain, it'd be better for her to end it in a planned setting with her family rather than draw out the pain. I hope she's okay, though. Good luck.

I have a dog that is 15 going on 16...she don't see as well as she use to and she is totally deaf....but otherwise healthy....I wouldn't consider for a moment at this point in time of putting her to sleep....

what you need to do is take your dog to a vet...and see what all is going on with the bladder and if she is in some kind of pain (this maybe why she is nipping)...they will be able to tell you her over all health and what can be done to help her out........

I had a dachshund that at the age of ten developed cancer..they went in and done two surgeries on her....she lived another eight good years.....

don't throw in the towel just yet on your babe...wait and find out what a vet has to say ......

If she is going blind and losing bladder control and growls when people get near her, her quality of life is not very good - she may be in a lot of pain. A vet can help you decide if there's anything that can be done to make her life better. But if not, letting her go is the kindest and most loving thing you can do for her.

All things die - luckily for pets, we can sometimes make that passage easier for them. It's very hard - I've been in that place several times, but I have to put their best interests ahead of my own desire for them to keep being with me.

It sounds like she's in a lot of pain, and may be scared cuz she doesn't know why everything hurts. She trusts you to take care of her, even if that means putting her to sleep. You shouldn't let her suffer. The vet may be able to help with her pain for awhile, but when you can no longer control the pain, she should be put down.

IT SOUNDS LIKe it could be canine dementia there are medications out there that really help
you need to take her to the very tommorow, and have af ull work up done, kidneys liver, etc. and treat each symptom
you will be surprised at how a proactive aging plan can help add years to a dogs life, and welshies can live a while longer than 12

If she's getting to the point where she can't control her bladder, plus the hearing loss and more aggression, the best suggestion is to put her to sleep, I'm sorry to say. Remember all the good times you've had with her, but be prepared to let her go sometime soon.

I would take her to the vet and have her looked at they will be about to tell if she is going blind. Does she drink alot of water, cause this sounds like how my older dog was acting and she got diagnosed with cushings disease and now on meds for it and is doing really well. Good luck

Just try and make her as comfortable as possible. You might want to take her to the vet to make sure there is nothing internally wrong with her to make her grouchy. Maybe she is in pain.

Blind and deaf does not constitute putting your dog down. If she is healthy otherwise - then enjoy the rest of your time with her.
