Dogs - February 2007

I have 2 maltese/pug cross pups - they are almost 5 months old. They are brother and sister. In the last week they have started to hump each other (the boy humps the girl, however she also does it to him too) and my wife is very worried that this is not a good thing. Is it too early to have them desexed?

mu dog's been pregnant since about to month now (startting from the day the 2 dogs did ......), and her belly 's just starting to be growing, getting bigger. she has bog nipples, and yha....who long can a dog be pregnant for? please help me...we have no idea if she is pregnant or not!

Yeah I know they are just mutts but does anyone have any? Or whats the weirdest/cutest cross that you have heard/seen. I have a yorkie/peekingese dog who is 6 pounds full grown and I have a Yorkie/palmerainian mix who is 15 pounds.

I'm thinking of adopting a dog that turns out is only 5 pounds. The smallest dog I've ever owned was 17 pounds, so I don't know what to expect.

As far as training, I mean potty, obedience, tricks, etc.

My Chihuahua (6 months old) who is loosing his baby teeth, looks in great pain, what pain reliever can I give my Chi that is not too hard to get and I dont want to go to any vet for this, cause whenever I go there they tell me 10,000 things that are wrong with my Chi.

I would like exact steps how to Artificially Inseminate my dog?
I have my pure bred English Bulldogs of perfect age and health and want them to have a litter for myself and my family and then we will spay and neuter the dogs. I know they need to be A.I'd and we use the be in the market hog show pig bussiness were we AI'd the pigs with champon lines so i know the jist of it but if anyone has any helpful tips(like what angle the ai rod should be at and about how far to insert the rod?) on dog artifcial insemination that would be apprieciated

Okay, so I am going to the bank to get a loan for a plan that I have been drawing up for about two years for a doggy daycare. I am still stumped for names but this will also be a training facility and I would like the name acadamy in there. Does anyone have any ideas. My Chi has not lost his baby canine teeth yet and there seems to be an overlapping canine teeth coming out from below. What should I do? Is this going to ruin his teeth structure? Should I go to the dentist? Please help!!

I started 5 years ago with a 6 month old jack russell. Two and a half years later we got another 6 month old jack russell to add to the family. Last year we added a Yorkie that we found at the shelter, he's about 8, to the family and my boss just had to give up her 12 week old baby Bischon. We took her in too. So three boys and a baby girl.

My yorkie loves to sleep on my bed but the past four nights, he has been in there before us and has peed on my pillows! It's gross. How can I stop it - other than putting up a baby gate to block him out of the room?

We had to have our 13 yr old dog put to sleep last Saturday. He had spondolosis and we had tried every medication, and nothing was helping anymore. Our family misses him very much and could never "replace" him. We do want to get 2 puppies, but when to get them is the question. My kids and I really miss having a four-legged family member, and my husband says that he just wants to "go without" for a while, maybe 4-6 months... I just don't know if I can go that long without. Any advice?

My pomeranian Keke looks so scared all the time. And I don't know why, my mom thinks that there are demons in the house again and that Keke senses them, and she just doesn't act right anymore. Keke used to always run around the house happily and I can't even turn out the lights at night without her having a scared look. And when I go to school she always make me open up the bible and say a prayer before leaving. She refuses to leave my room when I'm not home, I even had to buy her a litterbox! And when I come home I find her under the covers alot. She follows me everywhere cause she knows I won't let nothing happen to her, but now she's to me like glue. Any one know how to get her to not be so scared? And please do not suggest my mom is the reason cause she's not.
