how old is your dog? he might have a health problem or emergency which i think you should know if you need to go to the vet right now?i would feed him some benedryl if he is big give him about half a pill then the other half later this will calm him down make him go to sleep

Hi Gina.
Could be because your dog is uneasy with something or he/she is in excitement (need to get some steam out). Maybe take him/her for more or longer walks. That is always a good idea.
The "fear" troubles me though. I'm sure that if you haven't changed anything in his/her environment that upsets him/her, all he or she will need is a hug.
