My pomeranian Keke looks so scared all the time. And I don't know why, my mom thinks that there are demons in the house again and that Keke senses them, and she just doesn't act right anymore. Keke used to always run around the house happily and I can't even turn out the lights at night without her having a scared look. And when I go to school she always make me open up the bible and say a prayer before leaving. She refuses to leave my room when I'm not home, I even had to buy her a litterbox! And when I come home I find her under the covers alot. She follows me everywhere cause she knows I won't let nothing happen to her, but now she's to me like glue. Any one know how to get her to not be so scared? And please do not suggest my mom is the reason cause she's not.

Since this is a relatively new problem and she was never nervous before, I would seek out a professional to come check out your home to make sure it is an anxiety-free environment and to suggest changes or make changes that will ease the dog.

Once her environment is right again, she will soon recover!

I wish you and your sweet puppy all the best!

Something has frightened KeKe. My grandmother raised Poms and they are yappy dogs, sometimes almost aggressive. I have a cairn terrier and he seems scared quite a bit lately but it comes from my family yelling and arguing around him. He literally goes and crawls under the bed to get away. He crawls up on my lap for shelter and really withdraws. I don't know what can be done. Is she an older dog? Seriously though, something has triggered this. Take her to your vet and see what they suggest. She may have an anxiety disorder and needs doggy downers... Good luck. Do whatever you can to make her feel better. She is the most faithful companion you will ever have.

I have two small dogs. I've had a big dog when I was younger. I would say a big dog is more vicious over a little one. If a big dog bits you are going to know it. Most little dogs will bark and nip at people only because we don't take them seriously when they want to be left alone. Small dogs don't really care for young children because they pull there tail and mess with them. They think because they are small the dogs not going to do anything. Just think if you where a small dog how are you going to get your point across?

I would first get a vet to look at her - this is not normal for any pom. Then you could simply try a trainer or get her a companion. Howvere, even though it sounds strange, tere may well be something in the house. Animals have a tendency to sense those kind of things - so do children! If this is the case I'm not sure what to do - depending on your religion. She may have seen something that really scared her (not other-worldly) and just needs time and reasurrance. Which comes back to the getting her a companion thing. Hope I helped xxx

OK, I know this may sound a bit 'out there', but this sounds like you may be able to get some help and understanding from an animal communicator. I worked with one in Oregon that was wonderful. She is so good that she is doing a TV show in Japan. She worked wonders with my horse. His behavior improved greatly, and I could see a difference right away. Her name is Heidi Wright. Her web site is www.CritterConnections.net. She works from a distance. And, since you appear to have Christian values, don't worry, this lady works with St. Francis. You should read about her.

The only other thing I can think of is to call your minister or priest and ask them to come to your home and see if they can help.
Best wishes! Good luck!

perhaps you should get your house blessed and perhaps invest in an webcam so you can see what your pooch does during the day. Also perhaps you should get someone to come in during the day as your dog might be suffering from seperation anxiety hence the fact she is worried when you leave and follows you around all day.

Think about how long you are leaving her. Anything more than 4 hours for little toy dogs is far too much and my chihuahua gets very upset if she's left for any more x

We had shelter dog that was like that all the time. Some dogs are just nervous. You might try to play some soft music for her while you are gone. That might soothe her soul and let her know that everything is going to be okay.

Best of luck!

I would definately take her to the vet. I have a puppy who is pretty hyper, and one day she was acting very odd and lethargic too. It ended up being that she had a stomach problem, as well as an infected toe. We got her the medicine she needed, and she is as as good as new! hope that helps.
