some cultures eat that as a speciality dish. only though it's not so common and accepted here in america. all livestock or animals we eat had to start from one time when we made a decision that they are good for food. Dogs have multiple babies at a time. We can also use pets in the shelter for good use. We can clear the streets of wandering homeless dogs. Their meat can also feed the homeless. All in all it seems like a good plan. Why is eating a pup wrong?

if my dog gets hit by a car, and his artery is spurting out blood, and i don't have money to take him to the vet, do i just have to let him die in the middle of the road?

My dog has a mysteriously "limp" tail. her long tail seems to be injured, as she can barely hold it up. is it broken? can broken tails heal? it is not crooked or weird looking....

also, can you dislocate a dog's tail? like if someone pulls on it?

So many times on here and with the people and dogs I meet.. I see that their owners have a poor understanding of just how dogs interact socially or no understanding at all. It all seems to come so naturally to me... before I ever knew the technical term for a dominance hierarchy my experience with dogs gave me the knowledge that you have to be a leader to your dog in all things... It seems that is a hard concept for some people to grasp.. and its like they cant see why their dog is behaving badly because they have no clue how to run a pack.. Why do people get dogs without learning anything about them first, especially how they interact socially??

My doberman is alomst 5 mo old, we have had her since she was 7 weeks, and she is gettin really bad with nipping, snarling, and just in the past 3 days, she has started growling when I go to take something away from her that she isnt supposed to have. She has only bit me once when i went to get a paper towel from her, but she always bites me, and snarles. Me and my boyfriend have considered taking her to obedience classes, we have looked into bark busters, but is there any other really good classes? We live in NC. Any other info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
♥A♥

i recently bought a tiny minpin from a breeder 2 months ago who weighs right not 2.6lbs at 5months old. The breeder warned me on how tiny she is before i went to get her. I met the parents of my puppy, which the mom weighs 5lbs and the dad close to 5lbs., so they are fairly small but healthy. I saw "Tootsies" (my puppy) sister and brother as well and seemed very active and healthy as well. My puppy is extremely active, eats great, always wants to play but just is real tiny. She will only weigh in at full growth no more than 3lbs im assuming, since ive heard 6 months they stop growing and shes already at 5months. She swears shes a big doberman or something, always playing with the big dogs and chasing them around! Im just curious if she will overall be a healthy tiny min pin?

I have a friend that has a ShihTzu dog and she is getting ready to have her puppies but this is the first time my friend has been through this and doesn't know what to expect or anything else.......the dogs temperature has gone down and she's been irritable and just acting completely different. So we were wondering how close she might be to having the babies.

for the last 3 days my dog has been having these fart attacks. He will fart like 10 times in 30 seconds maybe twice a day. The only things I give him are milkbones and Innova EVO red meat. He has eaten those things for the last 5 months and no problems up until now. He hasn't been outside latley because it is cold so he sort of just sits around. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

We have Sally, a little silky x maltese pup and she is still teething. She just nipped my daughter on the face. Any suggestions to improve our training? SHe goes for anyone who gets down on her level (usually the kids) we do that loud high pitched ouches and no's, but it doesn't seem to be working.

because the other day at night i was peeing and my dog was sleeping, then i heard my dog doing noises.. like ungrrf.. mmmrrrfff like that so i litterally ran to see if he was ok and he was just fine, i cheked him and he had no visible marks of any phisical pain that he might have had then my sister told me she had heard him doing noises a couple of times while asleep... also we got him when he was already 2 years old... so i dont know if they mistreated him before that and maybe thats why he has problems sleeping...

My dog dug some used tea bags out of the trash and tore them up. If she ingested any, it wouldn't have been much b/c the tea leaves were all over the floor. She is a toy poodle. Will she get sick?

My neighbor's dog barks all day long and all night. I want to go talk to him about it but do not want to be labeled some jerk off. I want to go over there with some possible solutions so that it can be resolved. Help before I walk over there and kick the crap out of him and his yellow lab.

I recently was given a puppy and really don't think he's going to enjoy getting shot, so to speak. He's a dear little thing and I think he's the sweetest thing since melted butter. As a matter of fact, playing with him is one of the high points of my peaceful existence. I gave him dewormer. I give him plenty of food and water and a nice place to sleep and, and...but the vet is expensive, are they really neccessary?
Further I'm on a 'natural kick' and really am opposed to getting the puppy shots. If he has a problem, I am committed to taking care of it. Are the shots needed, please fill me in. As far as I see, dogs in the wild, (fox, wolf...) don't need shots so what's the big deal?
By the way, he is never exposed to other animals so its not like he's going to "catch" anything. Your intelligent answers are appreciated. Thanks.
