Yes, just let him lay on the road and painfully bleed to death.
APPLY PRESSURE TO THE ARTERY AND TAKE THE DOG TO THE VET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you cannot afford to care for the dog, have the vet find it a home.

You should lay down in the road with him, till another car comes along....two mercy killings in one...
I can't beleive that anyone actually believes that someone's dog got hit by a car, their artery is spurting blood, and that the owner went back to the computer to post a question and wait for answers.
Get real.

First of all...............why do you even have a freaking animal. This is the stupist question I have ever answered. With that attitude............yeh, that will probably put him out of his misery of YOU. This dog "thinks" that you are his friend. I am a paramedic. Maybe when you crash your car, going down my road, I will just let you lay there and die. You are a moron and do not deserve to own a pet. First of all, owning a pet comes with responsibility. Obviously you lack in that area. You need some serious help and if you get over this crisis..........please, for God sake, don't get another animal.

Did your dog get hit already? If he's got an artery spurting blood, get a tourniquet on him to stop the bleeding! Once the bleeding stops, release pressure on the tourniquet. Then take him to a vet, they sometimes have payment plans.
Some even do doggie blood transfusions, they did that for our dog, and it worked, but she ended up having a blood clot go to her lungs and she died. :(

Some towns have emergency clinics that do reduced rate work. Most vet will do emergency work and work out payment plans for the treatment. Also the ASPCA has emegency vets as well in some places. Besides if your dog is hit by someones car that persons insurance is libal for your dogs medical bills within reason.

Take him to a shelter!! they will fix him up for no charge to you!! Of course you'll have to sign him over, but think about what's more important, fido having a good healthy life without you, or you letting him die on the road cold, confused and hurting....do the right thing

NO!! That is the worst thing you could do! Call a friend and tell them that your dog is dying, pick up the dog and have them pay the vet. If you think this if funny- you are a sick person

No- if you cannot afford to take him to the vet, you could take him to a humane society or shelter. You can surrender him to the facility, and they can humanely euthanize your dog. That way, at least he would not linger in pain. I hope you never have to go through it though.
