Hi, I'm sorry & I hope that this information helps you to find something to make life seem less empty. I only waited four months after my last dog died before finding another one - the distraction of getting to know the new one, of enjoying the things that reminded me & also the completely new behaviour, helped to ease the pain. So I hope that some of these links lead you in the right direction.

I'm not sure if you're after a new pup to get to know & watch grow up or an older dog who's lost his or her home & looking for love in another.

If you were hoping to rescue then there is some information on the Tibetan Terrier Association webpages:
http://www.the-tta.org.uk/rescue.htm
There's also a breeder list on the site.

Or try contacting one of these:

Northern Tibetan Spaniel Club Rescue
Mr & Mrs Morton, Rotherham, S Yorks. Tel: 01709 522815

Tibetan Spaniel Association Rescue
Miss B Croucher, Swansea, West Glamorgan. Tel: 01792 470417

Tibetan Spaniel Club of Scotland Rescue
Mrs J Gregory, Cowdenbeath, Fife. Tel: 01383 514633

If you're looking for a puppy then the best place to start may be the Kennel Club website. They hold a puppy sales register & have useful information on looking for a puppy:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/436

Then there's the Champdogs site - the pups advertised here should all be KC registered as I think most of the breeders listed may also show their dogs. (A show dog person told me about the site). Contact information is free here & the list of breeders shows which county they are in:
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_tibetan-terrier.html
Sometimes they also give pedigree details so you may even find one that's related to the one that you've just lost ...or someone who breeds that line & is willing to put you on a waiting list for a puppy - that's of course, if you want to... Visiting the Kennel page (after viewing pups for sale) will sometimes provide you with the full name & address of the breeder. It may also be worthwhile contacting a breeder as they may have a litter due or puppies available that they've not yet advertised.

Finally, another site to try is ePupz - it's searchable by location but contact details are only available after you register. Registration is free & you can access full details to all adverts over five days old - if you wish to get contact for an earlier advert then you'll have to make a one off payment of £4.99.

Hope that this helps.

Wait.

Give yourself some time.

Nothing will ever brighten that dark spot left on your heart. Your beloved pet is not replaceable and you shouldn't try.

I know your pain. grieve for him. frame a picture for memories and when you can think of him without bursting into tears, maybe it is time for another companion.

Find a reputable breeder and get a puppy.

The best place to go is the website of the registration organization in your country (AKC for us here) and search in their breeder directory.

You could also try the TT Breeders & owners Club
http://www.ttboc.co.uk/
Make sure any puppy you buy comes from eye tested parents.
