My dog went after my cat today and I lost my cool and yelled at my dog. She had an accident in the house a few hours later. Could my yelling be the cause of her accident?

I have a 9 month old cockapoo. I have tried everything to get him to stop going to the bathroom on the floor. What should I do?

Personally, these cretins should be castrated so no more of their spawn can inhabit this earth.

I have a 12 week old boxer, so he's in his very energetic, puppy chewing and biting phase. For whatever reason, he thinks i am more of a chew toy than my boyfriend. We are both with him at the same times, we both discipline him the same ways when he does it, i don't get it. For example, every night when we go to bed, we let him up on the bed, and he immediately jumps on my head and starts chewing my ears. He never does this with my boyfriend. Does anyone know why he does this to me and no one else?

My next door neighbor mistreats his puppy something horrible. He got it for his kids and they don't want it or play with it so they leave it outside all the time no matter what the weather is. Also, whenever the man takes a notion to, he holds the puppy down on the ground and hits it with everything from his belt to his fist while taunting it as if the poor thing will understand. There's no ASPCA in my town and the animal shelter who takes care of such matters wont do anything and they've been called too. What is there left to do because eventually the dog will get tired of being beaten and bite the man and then he'll kill it. Either that or he'll turn it into an unownable dog and it'll have to be put to sleep.

Could this be anxiety? It is hard to tell him "no" since he is deaf. I have tried anti-inflammatories to see if it a pain thing, but it does not seem to be from pain. It seems to be just a habit now.

The white oak is used foor making whiskey barrels and I know you can use the shavings for horse bedding, but I was wondering about if it can be used for dogs also.

Usually, I'm answering questions on housebreaking puppies but this one a friend asked me stumped me.

Housebroken puppy, 6 months old. Follows perfect behavior at the house, comes and alerts them if he needs to go to the bathroom. Runs to the door, sits and whimpers. Does the same thing at the husband's parents house (visiting the puppy's grandparents).

However, at the wife's family (my friend)--the dog acts completely different. Goes running into the other room (if they are in the den, he runs to kitchen) to go to the bathroom in the house! he doesn't go to the door first or alert them or anything. Now they don't always run after him b/c sometimes he is running to eat or grab a toy.

The couple can't figure out why the dog goes to the bathroom inside at ONLY her mother's house.

Professionals only please--I could really use some assistance on this one.

Sharing and fairness is strictly enforced with our pitbull puppies. Our boy and girl each get identical toys to chew on, but it never fails. They have to have the other dogs toy leaving one toy abandoned. They equally try to steal each others toy.

We've gotten in the habit of putting one of them in the kennel to play and the other on the 'rug'. That didn't stop the problem either. The dog on the 'rug' goes over to the kenneled dog playing with the toy and goes crazy barking and leaping all over the place trying to get the toy.

I guess it's like 'the grass is always better on the other side' syndrome.

I just got my sweet little rat terrier a few months ago at a shelter. They think she is about 2 years old. She goes to the bathroom outside really well as long as you let her out every couple hours, but sometimes she will go inside. When she goes inside, it is ONLY on carpet or a rug. She will never pee or poo on a hard floor. She doesn't go to the door when she has to go either. Any ideas of how I can break her of this habit? I had to throw out my floor rug so she wouldn't pee on it anymore.
THANKS!

My yellow lab has a habit of chewing on all my blankets, pillows and sheets, but he never rips any of the fabric. He'll just sit there chewing and chewing, and gets everything soaking wet with his saliva, but he never leaves behind any tears or holes. I don't understand this behavior--the best explanation I can think of is that he is cleaning the surface of his teeth. He seems to especially like to chew fabrics that have a lot of my scent on them, but this may just be coincidence. Anyone have any other ideas?

She is an 8 month old, black lab. She's super sweet. We can't pick her up from the shelter until Friday, so we are killing time trying to think of names. As many as you can think of, we need all of the ideas we can get.

I need to know what type of dog my dog can be, we are having behavior problems and the behavior specialist say if we knew at least what on one or two things she is we would be more helpful?
SO DO YOU KNOW<, OR SEEN A DOG LIKE HER AND KNOW WHAT TWO MAJOR BREEDS SHE IS?

My boxer 8 1/2 yrs has been very sick lately, the vet after taking tests says her liver has a small problem, mind you we have different languagues, Italian vs American, but then her pancreas seems to be a big problem for her continual vomiting. I am going to the next prescription of anti-vomit medicine, and will be looking up pancreas for my Peggy. Could I have prevented this? And want to help her sooo much. I would like any advice you have as I will be looking on the internet also, will try anything to make her better. By the way she is still very active, but can not hold anything down. My landlord wont be back until tomorrow, and he can talk to the vet about what is going on and what to do, but when the vet said pancreas problem, I got scared. Please respond with any kind of professional advice you have. Thank you.
