My dog chews on my clothes and the only safe place is in my closet, not in the laundy basket or in the laundry piles.. I know this is really disgusting but how do I get her to quit??

The ***** and sire were trying to copulate. Both were very interested and she was standing for him. However, The locking didn't occur. It's hard to explain but, he did ejaculate but they didn't lock completely. She would be approx. 5-6 weeks along and is showing all the symptoms, but I've been told that they have to be locked on for at least 15-30 minutes. Is there a chance that she is pregnant or would it just be a false prenancy?

This happens a lot when I'm walking my beagle. I don't know how to defend him or even if I should. Sometimes my dog seems excited about the other dog and other times his hackles go up. Should I assume he is a good judge of the other dog's behavior? Even so, then what do I do? I've heard pepper spray is a no-no and maybe a dog whistle would work? Thoughts?

I know I'm responsible enough, and that I can handle a dog, as I've been preparing and researching for one for years. For some reason, my parents still don't think I can handle it. I think the real reason they don't want one is because they don't have time, even though I've already assured them both that they wouldn't even have to touch the dog. Any suggestions? I've already made a list of all the costs of a dog, made a pros and cons chart for the breeds I'm interested in, listed all my responsibilities as an owner, and offered to help pay for it. Niether of them will tell me why they wont let me get one, and I don't know what to do.
And by the way, thanks for the advice everyone who answered my last question. :)

I want a puppy and have done alot of research into Boxers. I love what I hear, but when people say that they are very high energy and playful...does that mean that they don't really ever just lay down and relax much or just lie around in the evenings after the initial excitement passes?

Because I love the "youthful spirit" and have big plans to keep my puppy motivated and active. I don't like lazy/lap dogs but I'm sure I'll just need some downtime too and was looking for advice from other owners.

Ok i have a Siberian husky so i know what its like to walk big dogs, but I'm just wondering if dog walking is a good idea, i would charge like $5 for a reg size dog but like $10 for a large dog. Another thing is i was going to ask a friend to help me but her dad says we have to work at the pet place in my town but they aren’t hiring and I'm to young to get a job because I'm only 13 and people hire here at like 14 or 15 but then my mom says we should do it so should we talk to her dad about it because this is the best time of year to walk people dog because everyone wants to stay in side because its like -20 out and colder over the weekend and it could be a great opportunity, so please people give good answer and no stupid things please, i Do Not Want to Put Up With It thanks

This just happened today, and I am going to take her to the Vets tomorrow, but tonight I am really worried about her. Her back legs buckle under her and her front legs are caving in as well. she can still put weight on her legs but they give way on her. Do you think this is neourological or does it sound like her knee caps dislocated?

In a few months I'll be traveling to Cali. to enter in the university; but I dont want to leave my dog with my parents because I love it so much. How much it would cost to take my dog with me? (including bying the cage, paying his ticket, everything), would I have problems because of that?, Someone who had done it before can share with me her/his experience.

I just got an English Bulldog today, we picked her up from a rescue place in Kansas. We got her to walk around earlyer today, but now she found a blanket be left on the floor and is refusing to get off. She is holding on for dear life when we tryed to move the blanket from one room to another. We finaly got her to move and she jumped on the couch and did the same thing agian, we finaly had to start tipping the couch to get her off. Could it be possable that she got pregnet with one of the male dogs at the shelter, she hasent been fixed yet. I know this is not normal behavior for a dog and could she maybe be in labor? Or am I just an idiot who dont know what he is talking about, this is our secoind bulldog so I know this isnt normal
