He has all the characteristics. He is supposed to be fullblooded but no papers. Dont really want to pay for blood test. Can anyone help?

A blood test isn't going to help you. Unless his parents are both registered "purebreeds" and the litter he is from is registered, then you can't proove your dog is full-blooded.

Enjoy him either way!

In all honesty, the AKC is managed so poorly that papers don't even prove a dog to be purebred. A breeder can lie about how many pups were in the litter and get extra papers from the akc, then they just use the extra papers however they want. Heck, the AKC registers puppy mills without batting an eye.

Just compare pictures. If he has all the characteristics, then he is probably a pure breed black and tan coonhound. They are a pretty distinct breed. Try comparing pictures here:

Buti suppose without papers you will never really know for SURE. And i don't know about this bloodtest, i hear people talk about it, but i can't imagine it would work..

Well, if you love the dog, and you should, doesn't matter if its full At this point in time there is a lot of proof that a lot of the mixed breeds are way more intelligent. So enjoy, what ever will be, will be.

hmmm i don't think there is a blood test for breed.. why does it matter is he's full blooded? u got a pic?..... breeding with out papers is bad bad bad even with them......
