The ***** and sire were trying to copulate. Both were very interested and she was standing for him. However, The locking didn't occur. It's hard to explain but, he did ejaculate but they didn't lock completely. She would be approx. 5-6 weeks along and is showing all the symptoms, but I've been told that they have to be locked on for at least 15-30 minutes. Is there a chance that she is pregnant or would it just be a false prenancy?

She could still be pregnant, take her in for an ultrasound so you know for sure and can plan ahead.

Usually dogs are more able to get pregnant around day 12! But it depends on the dog, dogs vary ! To get an accurate breeding , you should run a progesterone test which will tell when you need to breed ! And check the males sperm by a vet ! if they have trouble get an artificial insimination ! YOu be good ! 28 to 32 days you should be able to get a sonagram on her !

There is definately a chance she is pregnant, some bitches have been locked only briefly and still got pregnant. Vet can tell you for sure though.
