My dog was diagnosed with lung cancer and we're very afraid. She is having surgery tomorrow to remove the growth. We'd like to know more about this - how long will she be in pain? Will surgery get rid of the cancer? Does it recur in dogs, like with humans?

We think she is between 6 & 8 months old. She was badly matted so we had to get her stripped so I can't really tell for sure if she is maltese but from all the pics I see of them, she sure looks like it. My question is she screeches a very loud high ptiches noise when ever I leave her. She even screeches when I close the bathroom door to take a shower. She is at my side constanly and is great. She chews the kids toys alot but I think that is typical of any pup. Is this screeching typical of Maltese dogs?

Do people NOT see that just because some people choose a specific BREED from a BREEDER that it is not because the want a "status symbol", or an expensive dog to "flaunt". I am sure that is it for some people, but some of us ACTUALLY do the things with our dogs that they were bred to do!!!! Why should getting a puppy from a good and responsible breeder not be a choice????

We're going on 4 days of NO ACCICDENTS in the house...HORRAY! But, how do I know for sure if he is totally potty trained??
I guess I should just chance it and let him have more freedom around the house, without me behind his tail, lol? But, I'd hate to do that, then there be an accident and have to start from beginning again.
How did you all know?
BTW, he doesnt really tell me when he has to go, just kind of lays by me or the door it seems (maybe, not sure if this is what he's telling me or not). I have just increased his potty trips outside to every 2 hours or so, instead of every hour...
Info please..anyone?
Thanks
