When I was a kid, my toy with the animal sounds was all messed up. The pig made a noise like the chicken, the dog mooed like a cow, the horse meowed like a cat. It was loads of fun!

Why do dogs bark, Why do birds sing,Why do cats meow,etc. etc. etc.why do you talk,because you can't bark,or sing, or meow.

there are a lot of reasons
but the number 1 reason is because they are warning you that there is something going on or something it different.

That is their way of talking like we voice ours verbally. This is their way of communicating to you and others.
