Most areas will have a clinic or vets that does something like a spay+neuter drive where they spay and neuter pets for free or a nominal fee. These, sadly, tend to the get vets that are either donating time or working on the cheap.

Many shelters will be willing to help you out if you can't afford it, but a good vet isn't going to charge you more than 200 bucks most likely. They can set up a payment plan, so you just pay 20 dollars each month for a year, something like that.

It's worth it for the health of your pup! Good luck!

It depends on your vet, what part of the country you are in and what local programs are available. In my area, a low income family can get a voucher from the local Humane Society and get the steralization done for FREE. A maximum in my area for a spay with no discounts is $60 plus X amount additional for the anastesia based on the size of the dog plus pain meds, antibiotics and pre-op tests. A large dog can run $175 if you get all the precautions. We are small town mid-west so much less then big city,

Depends on where you live. Here, I paid $110 to have my Border Collie spayed, but there is a low cost spay clinic that we had a stray we were looking to rehome spayed at and it only cost $60. So your personal situation will affect it as well. Call some vets, get some quotes, determine if you have a low cost clinic that is maybe income based.

it realy depends on your vet and also the size of the dog. The bigger they are the more it usually costs because of the cost of anesthesia
. I believe my vet charges about 95 bucks for a female, and 75 for a male. This is for a 50 lb dog
I went to the humane society and got a voucher, it ended up being 30 dollars

It does really depend on where you live, you can look in your local phone book for low cost clinics, and it also depends on the weight and size of your dog, and any good vet will offer you a blood panel before your dog goes under but that is an additional cost. I would just research your area and try your local ASPCA. There are many options out there for you, Good Luck and good for you for looking into getting your pet fixed....

From my experience? Anywhere from FREE to $175.00 in the state of Illinois. Often, shelters will spay or neuter animals for free or at very low cost. This is done to encourage the owner to act on their responsibility quicker. The animal shelter in my county offers the procedure for $75.00. If you have low income, explain your circumstance to the shelter or vet and maybe they can cut you a break.

Local vets in my community will perform the procedure from $100.00 - $175.00. The latter being the average cost. Check around. Hope this helps.

It depends on where you live and which vet you go to. Or if there's a spay/neuter program in your area. Also can depend on the size and age of the dog. It can range from free to $500.

Spaying cost us $60.

We got our dog from the animal shelter, and they gave us a $25 voucher to use towards it. $60 - 25 = $35 (I assume they give it out to anyone who adopts a dog, to encourage it.)
