We're going on 4 days of NO ACCICDENTS in the house...HORRAY! But, how do I know for sure if he is totally potty trained??
I guess I should just chance it and let him have more freedom around the house, without me behind his tail, lol? But, I'd hate to do that, then there be an accident and have to start from beginning again.
How did you all know?
BTW, he doesnt really tell me when he has to go, just kind of lays by me or the door it seems (maybe, not sure if this is what he's telling me or not). I have just increased his potty trips outside to every 2 hours or so, instead of every hour...
Info please..anyone?
Thanks

and he's doing very well with every 2 hours instead.
I have also increased his amount of time out of the crate as the days go on.

Sounds like you're house training the right way. Slowly increasing the time between trips out is the way to go. I'd take him out every time he goes to the door, that way he associates the door with out. Slowly let him have more freedom, maybe section off a larger area that you let him in.

Some people have had success getting their dog to alert them when they need to go by hanging a bell from the doorknob within reach of their paws. You can train your dog to ring the bell when he needs to go.
