I have a 12 week old boxer, so he's in his very energetic, puppy chewing and biting phase. For whatever reason, he thinks i am more of a chew toy than my boyfriend. We are both with him at the same times, we both discipline him the same ways when he does it, i don't get it. For example, every night when we go to bed, we let him up on the bed, and he immediately jumps on my head and starts chewing my ears. He never does this with my boyfriend. Does anyone know why he does this to me and no one else?

Oh, just to add. He is crate trained, but since we have him in there while we are gone during the day, he doesn't sleep in it at night.

He look at you like you are his equal. You need to show him that you are not.

I know that has to be a pain in the butt. I got a 11 year old boxer female who was fixed at a young age. My sister had her before I got her last year. Queenie is her name when she gets excited she wants to hump anything male. When I say hump I mean just like what you see male dogs do. I ask my friend's wife who is a vet tech whey she does it and the reason being is a dominance issuse she thinks she has to prove to all males be it dogs, cat, or humans that she is in charge. My wife and i both spend the same amount of time with Queenie but yet let me lay in the floor or let my 9 year old son lay in floor and she will try to hump us my wife, sister, mother, or any other female can lay in floor and she will do nothing. So I am going to say he has to prove himself to you or to your boyfriend by doing that to you.
Or he may just do it because do not take this the wrong way but smell or taste better.( hair spray, lotions, or etc..) that might be a reason also.

He might just like your smell better. I can understand wanting your new puppy with you all the time, but you might consider crate-training him. That would become his "home" and he would go in there at night and during the day when you're gone and he can't go with you. It won't hurt him at all. He'll think he's being tortured, but he'll quickly quiet down and learn to like it. Good luck!

Don't feel bad. I am the littermate, too. You have to really be disciplined yourself and show your dog that you are above him in the pack. I am horrible at this and for that reason my 2 year old pug continues to bite my feet EVERY DAY. But, she also loves me more than my boyfriend (the alpha). She always prefers to hang out with me than him.

It could be whatever he smells on you. Perhaps he likes your perfume over your boyfriend's cologne or something. Your skin might be softer and more appealing to him. Puppies are funny. Some of the things they do make no sense in the human world.

He thinks of your boyfriend as the alpha, while you are his equal. You need to nip that in the bud with some obedience training (positive reenforcement training is great!), and ensuring that you're never in a position where he dominates you, rather than you dominating him.

He considers your boyfriend the Alpha dog...sorry but you are just a litter mate! Obedience training will help. You need to show him you are dominant.

He doesn't see you as a dominate person. I would go to Cesar Millans Web site he can help you. 1st of don't let him on your bed to sleep get him a Kennel make his own . He needs to know his bonds.

I agree with the other answers. you need to show him that your are higher up in the food change then he is.
With my dogs every time they showed their aggression, disrespect whatever I flipped them on their back, and rubbed their belly's. A dog on their back is a submissive pose.
Good luck

I heard staring at dogs in the eyes until they look away establishes that you are the dominator in the relationship. Try it.
