Do not ever buy a pup unless you meet the owner in person and you give them the money when you recieve the pup. Even if she did get the pup, it may be in poor quality, or in bad health. Never have anyone ship a dog!

DON'T BUY A PUPPY ON THE INTERNET! Anybody who will sell to a person with nothing more than the right amount of money is NOT a reputable breeder. You should be looking for a breeder that interviews you just as much as you interview them to make sure they get a good home for their puppy. Do your family and future pet a favor and learn more about what responsible breeders look like and you'll find these internet folks are NOT. If you buy from an internet source, you'll probably get a sickly dog that has health issues and might even die from it's problems (it's fairly common).
Visit the parent club for yorkies and find a local breeder and talk with them about what a good breeder does and doesn't do!

The best answer to this question is DON'T buy this puppy off the internet. There are reputable breeders all over the US. Going to the breeder will allow you to see the mother, the puppy and perhaps the father. You will get some ideas on the breed and how to care fo the puppy. A GOOD breeder will help you with any problems you might have and will also allow you to return the dog if something is wrong.
There are breeders who have websites and are legitimate, but it is much better to deal with someone in person than over the internet when a puppy is involved.

DON'T DO IT!!! I wonder what would they would say if you asked them for their address and phone number??? If they are so concerned about finding a good home for their pups, they should have asked for references and stuff like that. Ask them for references and see what they say?? I don't think you will get an answer!!! They probably don't really have puppies!! And if by chance they do, they are probably operating a puppy mill, and you want to stay away from them too. Stick to a local shelter or breeder if you want a pure breed. There are far too many dogs than need loving homes in shelters/ rescues and locally. Whatever you decide to do, wherever you decide to go, be very careful.Lots of pet stores also use puppy mills to get their puppies.

There's plenty of puppy scams similar to this all over the net. Very common.
The other thing is that you really should never buy a puppy over the net, as it's more than likely you are getting a puppy mill product, which can often be very sickly animals and you end up spending tons in medical costs, if the puppy even survives.
Best bet is to find a local, reputable breeder to purchase a puppy from. You'll pay more, but at least you will know the puppy will be healthy.

For several years I sold Olde English Bulldogges - one of my ways of advertising was through my web-site - and using the yahoo classifieds - I always stressed that I wanted my puppies in a good home - and if the buyer wanted the puppy shipped I would get the money plus the cost of the shipping first - and would ask for their name, address and phone number because the airlines required it before shipping. I was always honest - and never cheated anyone out of their money - there are a lot of honest breeders out there - but you are right there are fakes too. So ask them as many questions as they ask you, their name, where they live, about their kennel, do they offer a health guarantee, ask for pictures to be emailed, etc., the honest ones will be more than happy the answer your questions - there are message boards for most breeds of dogs - find one for the breed you are interested in and ask if anyone has heard of the person you are think about buying from.

Do NOT buy ANY puppy from the internet. There have been many puppy breeding mill scams lately and going through the internet will give you a better chance of a sick dog. You need to be careful and actually go and see the litter and the mom, but even that can be risky right now in time.

I bought both of my dogs over the internet. We found our breeders through petfinder.com.
Before we even talked about money the breeder has us fill out an "application" first to make sure we even had the room for the dogs, and for them to find out more about us to make sure their puppy was going to a good home.
They also asked for personal references..and checked up on them. (which I love the fact that they were that picky)
They gave us their phone number and email address from the very start.
We had contact with them the whole way through.
I would not buy a dog where the breeder is refusing to release their information and they're only interested in the money.
Sounds like a shady deal to me, and I would stay away from that one.

Would you buy a car over the internet? Unlike a car, a dog lives more 10 years and its personality/temperament can be damaged by poor breeding/conditions in its early life.
Buy a dog from a breeder near you so you can see the mom and how the puppies live.
Go to www.akc.org and check their puppy classifieds, or use their breeder referral service.
I have heard too many horror stories about puppies bought sight-unseen.
Good luck.

My sister in regulation did. The canines is two yrs previous now and fantastic. No issues. i does in comparison to no longer being to work out/meet the canines first. the only difficulty i might see with getting a canines over the cyber web is that if something is incorrect with the canines and you had to return it, you will ought to deliver it lower back fairly then only driving to the breeder/keep. additionally, you won't be able to confirm that the canines isn't coming from a puppy mill as you ought to no longer be seeing the breeder's centers. in my view, i might carry on with shelters/community breeders. nevertheless in case you fairly want a undeniable form of canines, each and every so often you haven't any selection however the internet.
