Dogs - January 2007

Is it ok? would my puppy get sick if I give it Human Food? Would it Die? I know it's not THAT ok but is it as bad as some people make it to be, or thier just saying don't give it becuase of manners or really just for my puppies health?

Recently I have noticed that she doesn't slow down to eat. Once she is done she will beg for more and she ate her usual quantity. I only feed her canned food and she gets half of it. Please help!!

Why when I go to dog parks with my 9 month lab who is nutered, other dogs try to hump him. He is very sweet and will not snap or growl when dogs try to do this to him so I think they know he is passive. Is it because he is nutered?

We can place a dog bisquit or any type of food next to our dog and she doesnt "smell" it. we have to SHOW her where the treat is... goofy dog!!!

Details: He was found in the middle of a busy highway. He had scabies really bad and lost his hair from the waste down. They were calling him Scabby at the vet, but I didn't like that. He is a mutt mix I guess, looks like pitt and some kind of long haired dog. His coloring is brindle, and his hair is medium length. Looks like a crazy dog!

But am really confused if shoulder measurement what AKC says is at shoulders or can be taken at the withers?
I was really surprised to see the named aprts of the dog in this book, to discover that i was all these months measuring my 11 month old dane at the withers and he is SHORT if it is not at withers and at shoudlers. Please guide me.

My dog is pregnant, and she is due in a week. Out of her breast, only six of them are swollen and the other two are regular. Does that mean that shes only haveing six puppies?
