One of the first things i do when i get home from work is make a big fuss of my dog and smell his ears. I cant think of a reason why I like to smell his ears, i just do it. Can anyone relate to what im talking about.?

I like rubbing my dogs ears (They like it too!), but not smelling them...

Dogs ears have a distinct smell and by smelling your dogs I can only assume that in some way you are simply performing a bonding acivity, dogs do this as a grooming act the alpha dog has its ears done by the submissive dogs underneath so in some ay are you feeling a tad guilty about leaving the dog when you go out and then when you come back in are you taking on the role of submissive doggy?

Don't listen to the weirdo answers, I love my dogs ears and feet too. And my cats feet. they smell like biscuits. Yes I suppose it is weird to the weirdo NON PET OWNERS, but to us it's a comfort. What more can you ask for as a de stress other than a glass of wine or a vodka than a wee snoke at your doggys ears. Wonder if they think the same when they sniff our crotches ha! ha! Dogs eh.

I love smelling and kissing the inside of my dogs ears. I just write it off as being similar to being attracted to someone and their pheromones.

I have no idea...... I know I like the smell of puppy breath, but I never smell the ears.

As you are a dog lover, presumably you like the smell of dog!
I personally hate the smell of dog. I am a cat lover and I love to smell my cats fur. They smell of....................cat!
The best smell of all though is horse!!! I miss my horses. People would think me wierd if I went up to the horses in the field behind me and just sniffed them!

nuzzle I can see with there ears, but smell!?!?! what the heck....umm clean them with water then get some dog perf. stuffy stuff and spray it around his ears, problem solved!
