The vet will be happy to tell you, right after he neuters him.

Is he a champion? Has he had health, hip and eye certifications done? Does he conform to his breed standard? If not, "real" breeders won't take a second look at your dog!

If you don't know when your dog is old enough to breed, then you shouldn't be breeding him.

Read books on the breed first - secondly get him fully checked over by a vet, for hips, eyes etc. Then only breed him to another pure bred Siberian Husky with Pedigree Papers. Ensure the female has been bred before as if she and your dog are inexperienced the female will get frightened and will try and pull away during mating if this happens it is likely your dog will get a rupture and will need an emergency appointment at the vets where they will operate but more than likely castrate him also depending how bad the rupture is.
MALE DOGS ONCE BRED CAN CHANGE - THEY MAY BECOME AGRESSIVE AND THEY WILL BECOME MUCH MORE DOMINANT.
ONLY BREED YOUR DOG IF HE IS A PEDIGREE AND TALK TO THE PEOPLE YOU GOT HIM FROM ABOUT THEIR COMMON AILMENTS, THEY MAY USE HIM FOR ONE OF THEIR DOGS TO GAIN HIS EXPERIENCE.
ASK YOURSELF ONE QUESTION BEFORE BREEDING - WHY ARE YOU DOING IT? IF ITS FOR MONEY THEN DONT DO IT - IF ITS TO IMPROVE THE BREED THEN DO IT WITH CAREFUL CONSIDERATION AND RESEARCH IT LOTS, ONLY BREED HIM IF HIS HIP SCORES ETC COME BACK POSITIVE.

He needs to be at least a year old in the UK because you need to have his hips tested & eyes tested before you even think of breeding - unless you are totally irresponsible. If you don't know what you're doing, it's best not to use him for breeding at all. Do you know how many unwanted Siberian Huskies there are?

earlier you purchase a woman, I propose you initiate showing or racing your male. this way you will get to renowned different Husky breeders and learn with regards to the breed. you besides mght decide to connect your interior reach and national Siberian Husky golf equipment, and your interior reach kennel club. Attend as many shows, races, seminars, conferences and academic activities as you could. examine the club magazines. examine as many books as you could. If those human beings think of you're severe they are going to be extra suitable than prepared that might assist you, yet while they think of which you're going approximately it the incorrect way, don't be indignant yet pay attention to THEM. they're the experts. in case you elect to be a in a position breeder, then they're the terrific human beings to learn from. as quickly as you have spent a pair of years discovering, then you truly've got a reasonably sturdy concept what to seek for in a skill brood b*tch, and the thank you to elect the right stud for her (which in all probability is purely not the single you very own).

At least 1yrs old,be carefull if letting him breed and he's just a pet as it can alter a male dogs temperment and make training more difficult. Also to breed your dog would have to have all the recommended health tests associated with his breed and you have to find an equaly tested and good tempered b itch.Good luck.

You can begin breeding him at about 1 year old but for quality purposes it's suggested that you wait until he's at least 2. Most male dogs don't even know what they're doing until they are about 3, so if you are not experienced in breeding my suggestion is to wait until it "comes" naturally to him :)

when you do not have to come to YA! to ask breeding, whelping and puppy care questions. Leave breeding to the professional and neuter your dog.

He will let you know when he is ready. Hope you arent going to cross him by breeding with other kind of dog. They are beautiful dogs. They are so gentle but protective as well. You dont say how old he is but if you take him near a ***** in heat you will know he is ready because he will try to mount. I got one. How do you neuter a dog then breed him that was a silly answer. from yo lo.
