I had 2 pups in my home that got parvo and died before their vaccines took effect. I now have another pup - 7 wks. old - that has had his 1 st shots and is only kept in areas that have been thoroughly bleached. I need to know how to kill the virus on my forrest green carpets so that my new pup can rome once he's had all of his shots. I've been told that bleach is the only way. Color - safe bleach isn't a disinfectant, but a stain remover. HELP.

I have a 11 mth old choc lab, for the past few months she has been on Presciption dog food, her digestive sysytem was really messed up, well the vet said to slowly merge her into a new food. She used to eat Science Diet, well all I heard is that is bad, I need some good ideas on what food is the best for her and I mean the BEST!! Money is no problem, I have heard people say Blue Buffalo, Canidae, Chicken Soup, Diamond< Royal Canin, etc-- I just want to hear what other people say espically from experience. I want Sometjing as good as possible, also want her coat to stay shiny, and etc. She is my baby, and I only want the best for her. thanks for the help!!

Hi,
I'm one of the biggiest dog lovers you can find and I know that I'm going to get alot of rude answers more than likley but here it is:
I want to breed Treeing Walker Coonhounds when I get older and have a house with alot of land. I don't want to be a Back yard breeder but just a well known breeder who breeds quailty puppies. I'm not even a teenager so I'll have a good while to study this and things like that.
So, I know that there are test that the Females and Males have to have. I would like to know the test and things like that if you don't mind.
I don't plan to breed a female over and over like a puppy mill. So, if you could give me the information I'd greatley appreciate it.
Thanks!

My dog is 15 years old and is having accidents thru the night. He wines if we put him a kennel and barks if we confine him in the bathroom. If i can get him to sleep all night I don't think he would have these accidents. I let him out at 11 pm and 5:30 am. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I thought she would grow to 4 or 5 pounds, but now am being told that since she is only 1.6 pounds at 4 months, she is probably never going to get that large. I did not set out to buy a Chi this small, just found her and had to get her (she was in a bad place). Now I read about all the health problems she may face being this small and its scarring the poop outta me. Anything I can do to make her life long and happy? Do all small Chis end up with so many health issues?

I have looked up the breed but I need some personal experience with people who have or currently do actually own one. Preferrably not someone who just knows someone who owns one. Here's my situation: I have been asked to foster care a 2 year old Pomeranian male for a family that is moving states and cannot move the dog just yet. I will need to foster care for him for about 2 months until they get settled and can come back for him. I won't ship animals so my terms are they have to personally pick him up and drop him off. I hate the idea of animals being shipped, just a personal preference. But I have 2 Lab puppies (18 weeks old), 2 cats, and 3 kids ages 3, 9, and 11.
Are Pomeranians good with small kids?
Are they good with other dogs?
Are they good with cats?
Are they likely to bite and snip like many other small breeds?
Do they bark a lot?
Are they nervous?
Do they chew even at 2 years old?
What should I be prepared for if I decide to do this?
More info............

I have a 10 month old shepher/hound mix. when we first got him he ate his food fine[he was 3 months old ] no it seems like no matter what kind of food we give him he refuses to eat it. I have even tried to leave the food down for 2 days to see if he would at least nibble . The weird thing is if I put the cat dish down he goes right for it and devours the whole thing . So I tried to give him cat food[I know it is not good for him but I was desperate] but he wouldnt even touch it because it was in his bowl. We have tried wet ,dry and mixing . When we first tried wet he would eat it but now he is back to his old ways . I dont want him to starve so we give him what ever we eat [Iknow that is bad also] . There is nothing wrong with his teeth or gums so I know its not that. Some one please help I m wasting money on food every week on a dog that wont eat it.

My boxer is a clown. I have a 2 1/2 year old male boxer and he loves his attention. He'll take this big tug rope we have and hit himself with it, then act like it insulted him and growl at it. He also runs around the house top speed when he's bored, and he'll "talk" when he wants to go outside. He's our brindle prince. How about your boxer?

I currently have a 3 month old female APBT laying on the blanket next to my chair. She's a black brindle sweetheart! Very active little critter she also is. She's wonderful with kids and they make her do the "excited pee." She played with a 1 year old baby girl and never even got in her face! She's also played with a 3 year old, two 2 year olds, and two 5 year olds! She's also been to a doggie day care where she was the perfect puppy when she played with the other dogs. Who else is a PROUD Pit Bull parent!?

Gus will do very well and just when we think he's broke he'll do his business in on my hardwood, and its always the same spot- we know he knows he's done wrong because he hides afterwards like a little kid.

Hi! My female JRT is 2 years old. Last night, I gave her dog food around, 8:00pm, she ate it no problem. When I came back home at 9:00pm, I took her out to do her thing. She didn't do anything, she started eating grass like crazy, something that I have only seen her do on occassions, but not the way she did it last night. She was going crazy, nonstop I literally had to stop her, cuz it scared me. She is a very hyper-dog and I have seen her eat stuff off the floor and grass, but never like that! That just scared the hell out of me, excuse the expression. When I brought her inside, I thought she was going to "barf", but she didn't. All night I kept my eye on her, like a child! In the morning, she was fine, she didn't barf! Someone had told me, that she probably had an upset stomach. The last time she went to the vet, was about 2 weeks ago, to get her Parovirus shot. Can you please let me know why she did that?? Thanx
