I don't know what this has to do with dogs but, yes, it's wonderful isn't it. Then there's the opposite. It's called Murphy's law. It means anything that can go wrong will go wrong. I think we all experience this sometimes. Don't question a good day. Just enjoy it.

Yes and it indeed feels strange. Life always balances itself out. Several things can happen now, you could have alot of OK days, one horrendous day, or nothing bad will happen to you, but will happen to somebody else. Sometimes one horrible day to you will mean a great day for somebody else, and vice-versa. Don't dispair, and enjoy the ride! :-)
