I currently have a 3 month old female APBT laying on the blanket next to my chair. She's a black brindle sweetheart! Very active little critter she also is. She's wonderful with kids and they make her do the "excited pee." She played with a 1 year old baby girl and never even got in her face! She's also played with a 3 year old, two 2 year olds, and two 5 year olds! She's also been to a doggie day care where she was the perfect puppy when she played with the other dogs. Who else is a PROUD Pit Bull parent!?

ps. if you live in Oklahoma, go to geocities.com/pitbullsofoklahoma

Fetch I hope your blind mama and her pups get a home! They're so cute! I like her ear. Contact me on Yahoo if you want to be the shelter in CA that we support? I mean, it won't mean much yet because we're not that big yet. =P

Mustng, your dog sounds like a lot of fun! My puppy is scared of water. =( I wish she wasn't.

jessica b - it's always good to raise them not to bite and train well and socialize!

amd - she sounds like so much fun! can i call her wiggleworm? hehe. i've always liked the red ones, but brindle's my pick.

Mike - She sounds like a normal, well socialized, well trained pit bull! Puppy kisses are slobbery, haha. That rabbit probably was meaner than the pit, I agree.

I've never owned a pit bull but my former next door neighbor did.
His pit bull, Sweetpea, was one of the nicest dogs I have ever known. She was a loving dog and got along with other dogs and people very nicely. She was very well behaved around children and never once showed any aggression towards a living soul, at least from what I witnessed. I'm not sure what Kevin did to make her so sweet but he did a great job with her.
The only down side to Sweetpea was that her kisses were really slobbery.

Sweetpea made such an impression on me that a few years later I named one of my rabbits after her.
I think that rabbit had a meaner streak to her than the pit bull did.

My husband got a 8 week old red nose pit that we named Reyna.I at the time had my 3 year old 2 pound Chihuahua. That dog of mine would act like a mean big dog around the pit. They were around each other for 3 years, and the pit never tried to even defend herself from the chihuahua. She are so sweet natured.Ours didn't allow anything to come in our yard at night, and we lived in La.in the woods. You never knew what would be laying on the porch in the morning. She was stolen and I regret making her so friendly now.And the mean chihuahua just passed away in Dec.after 15 years...So enjoy your friend....

I have a red nose pit that I recently rescued from neglective owners. I call her Gracie, and she is the sweetest dog I have ever known. She's so cute because when she wags her tail, her whole body wiggles with excitement, as if she were dancing. My Gracie brings me joy everyday.
