We have only had our pup 7 days, and already taken him 3 times to the vet!!!
First, after 2 days here with us, he stopped eating and began throwing up, thought maybe Parvo...nope the vet said to stop giving him treats for pottying, ok.
Then, he gets med's for his throwing up, next we have tapeworm!

And he wakes up in the middle of the night crying from itching so bad, and he has hives on his face!! The the hives go away and I decide to stop his med's that he was given to stop throwing up.

Take in his stool for test, it's tapeworm. So he gets med for it.
Now, he still wont stop itching madly, everywhere, (and he has not one flea on him, he's short haired, and my daughter and husband arent being bit and they are allergice to fleas, so I know he doesnt have those, and he was given that flea med the second day he was home) even after the first med given is stopped, and....
Im tired of no exact answers from the vet.

1 yr. old dog adopted from shelter but they didn't provide his shot records. He has probably had his rabies shot but I can't be sure. Would it hurt him to get another shot within the same year?

I want A real good reason... like because my pet pit bull killed my baby or my mom. Not somthing like i saw on the news..blaa blahh blahhh..and for the record anyyyyyy dog will attack!.. pitbulls are more likely to hurt people when they do because they are mostly muscle ..and when used as only guard dogs which a lot of people buy them for with minimum to no human contact besides abuse "to make it mean" just like any other breed that was raised like that most likley will be agresseve tward other humans. just as a human would.... a lot of people buy these dogs and treat them as a gun or sum other protection. and not as pets its the way they are raised. the poeple not the breed and yes sum probably do turn on their owners but they are not the only breed . i think they get all the crap bc when a pitbull or even larger dose bites its a more serious bite than a toy poodle or chiwawa would cause. so its worth reporting. And all you in the hate pibulls club read up on the breed before you post

Hello,

Attached is a photo of my dream dog. Is it a Lakeland or a Welsh or…? I want my first dog to be a Lakeland or a Welsh if that is what this is…any advice on that? How do they differ? I live in a house, but it is small and apartment-ish. They seem hard to find for some reason in California. Do you have any photos, pricing, information to sent me? Or a newsletter to join? I live in Los Angeles. Attached is a photo of my dream dog. Is it a Lakeland? If not, what is it? Do you have that look like this? What does it mean when it says they have had tails and dew claws done? Do you think it would be possible to find a hand plucker here, or can I learn it myself? I understand they need to be hand plucked? Thank you so much! Your advice and knowledge much appreciated!

Our mastiff leaks urine when she is at rest or sleeping. The problem started after she was spayed. The vet claims that this is a common problem because of hormone deficeincy. She is on medication but it really doesn't make that much of a difference. I think the vet botched the operation. Has anyone else heard of this problem?

He is destroying our house. We'd rather not have to euthanize, but his lack of positive qualities make it difficult to market him for a new family. The waiting list at the pound is several months.

I cannot afford to put the dog to sleep. He's in a lot of pain, constantly. Would it be "humane" if I just out the dog into a bathtub with a radio in it?

Christmas day 2005, my dog passed away right in front of my eyes, and I feel my vet's to blame. See, my dog had been feeling bad for over a week and the "doctor" took blood samples way before she died. At the beginning, he said that my dog had arthritis and gave her some meds for that but never got the answers from the blood test. Then all of a sudden at 7am on 12/25 my dog died. FIVE days later, AFTER I call the vet, I was told that my dog had Kidney failure. Now that doesn't happen overnight- it takes a while before one can have kidney failure, there are so many symptoms involved. My question here is, should I sue the VET? His negligence killed my dog! I do not know what to do, but I know that I want some revenge. My beautiful baby could be still alive if he had been honest with us (anyone from Long Island, DO NOT GO TO THE BELLPORT ANIMAL HOSPITAL- ALL CROOKED PEOPLE!!!!!) Please advise.

I have recently answered several questions for people looking for puppies. I said to go to the American Kennel Club web site, but I didn't give complete details.
Go to that site, cllick on "Future Dog Owners" then click on "Breeder Refereal" and it will give the parent club e-mail address for that breed where breeders are listed.
Sorry for any misunderstandings.

There are so many questions here that should never have been asked the first time, but we see them over and over again! What one bothers you the most? And if no one would report you, how would you want to answer?

Questions about breeding, whelping, sick or injured dogs, etc. Come on gang, tell me what's on your mind!
