He flinched while cutting them and he is bleeding non stop. I have never seen blood actually squirt out like it was on him. It has slowed a little, but we called shelter and they gave us the powder to put on it, however, he weighs 120 pounds (more than me) and I am having a hard time trying to get him to stop moving. Evertime he moves, it starts pouring out again through the powder. The vet is closed here, and like i said i talked to the shelter (he is a dog we adopted from he was there 5 years and he is 8 great dane/lab mixand we volunteer there all the time) but the powder doesn't work with him moving all over

I have a 3 year old Doberman pincer (in great health) but for the last week, he seems to have a lot of drool/foamy stuff hanging from his mouth. Is he sick? He is still active as ever, but now with drool... Any help would be great! Thank you all in advance.

A friend with 2 labradors who are a few months older had the same thing with his, but my pup now hasn't eaten at all since yesterday. It appears that she is being fussy and some people have suggested buying chicken and cooking it for her but i don't want to startmaking a rod for my back. Any suggestions?

Hello,
first off, let me say thank you for taking the time to read my question.
Okay, my dog is still a pup, and is about 9 months old.
She was found as a stray and the Humane Society took her in.
She's a very sweet dog, but I have noticed that she must have had a rough past.
Whenever I'm sitting down and then I unexpectedly get up and approach her, she darts off like a bat out of hell.
I've never overly scolded her then what was appropriate to do. Infact, I'm usually quite leiniant with her.
Also, whenever I use hand gestures at her, like snap fingers and tell her to go lay down, she runs away. She's terrified of gloves too.
Maybe someone slapped her in the face with a glove in her past?
Whenever I have gloves on, (it is winter-time) she snaps at my hand.

What can I do to make her feel at home and be more relaxed? She's a little tense and I would hate for her to associate her owner's previous corrective efforts with mine.

I only want what's best for her.

Any suggestions?

I need two of these for my dogs who are both over 100lbs. It seems that everyone sells the medium size, but no large. Does anyone know of a website or store in the Raleigh, NC area that sell these at a reasonable price? Thanks!!

I don't think it's anything sexually because he's only 10 weeks old (we're going to neuter/spay him at 6 months as our vet recommended), but he started to hump my arm when I rested it atop of my knee sitting down on the ground o.o I heard it's dominance...is it? He only did it twice in a short amount of time -- I gently slap him from behind and say "no." So I'm just wondering if he does it again -- is there a "best" or most effective way to stop this quickly?
(I also took his stuffed toy away)

My husband and I have a 6 lb Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. He just turned a year old last month and we have had him since he was 3 months old. Ever since he was about 5 months old and on he has hated other people and dogs. He will bark uncontrollably and is just very nasty. We can't have anyone over to our house because he will bark non-stop and nothing we have done has helped. We have tried having the visitor give him a treat, but that does not work. Is he beyond hope or is there something we can do. I realize that this is probably our fault since he was not very well socialized as a puppy. He came from a home where he lived with his sister, mom and dad, so he has lived with other dogs before. Is this a breed thing? I have had another small dog in the past that was the same mix and he was not like this. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My mom wants to get a dog. We were at the park recently where she met a French Bulldog and it was love! Very friendly dog. Mom is in her early 60's, in good health, she lives in a condo. I want to buy her a Fr. Bulldog for her birthday. Is this a good breed for her? Are they hard to come by and are they very expensive?
