My yearling thinks he is a puppy. Everytime we go for a walk my mini bites and chews at the leadrope. He shakes it back and forth and it makes it very difficult to walk with him. His head is constantly down trying to get a hold of the lead rope. I tried to shake the lead rope, but he is starting to jump or rear at the sound and I get real scarried. Did I train him to rear or is he just scarried too? I quit doing it because I don't want him to jump up and now he is back to chewing and playing with the leadrope again in his mouth. I'm not getting no where. He also bites at my hand, legs and nothing works, it only gets worse. I already thought about selling him because I can't handle him. I only had him for 4 weeks. Please help. Thanks for reading.

Our boxer has 2 hemispherical growths on her chest and jowl that have been growing at a rate of sometimes about 2 mm per week. The area is smooth, free of hair, symmetrical, and the same colour as the skin in each area. What could it be? Richt now they are about 5-10 mm in diameter. She also had one about 6 months ago that grew quickly then vanished; these other 2 are persistant.

ok, a dog that has intestinal parasites gets them from eating things such as fleas, other wild animals and picking up the eggs from other infested animals. a dog cannot get worms from eating meat, chocolate or any other human food that a dog should not be eating anyway! is anyone else but me really bothered by the amount of people that seriously answer, that you shouldn't feed your dog chocolate, pork, etc because it will give them worms? unless there are egg segments on this food, your pet will not get worms from this. am i alone here? am i the only one that finds the advice of not feeding these foods because of the fear of worms, and not the actual health problems associated with these types of foods disturbing???

I got a puppy for Christmas and it's a Jack Russell Terrier. I'm concerned about it's coloring. It's 3mons old and only about 41% white, regulations say 51%, but I'm wondering if it will "grow out of" it's brown. The mother was all white and the father had a lot of brown, he was one of the three pups left from the pack two white ones that were about 90% white and the puppy that was picked for me ( he was the larger of the three). After talking with the breeder I was assured that the puppy purchased was pure-bred.

He looks evey bit of a Jack Russell from head to toe even his energy and characteristic, but I'm still concerned about his color. Will he outgrow it or did I just get a pup who got more brown genes than white?

There are so many people out there wanting to breed or who already have that are on YA asking what to do next. When you tell them that they shouldn't breed they get defensive. Yet when a question is asked about why they breed....none have a good answer?

I think it's because they know they shouldn't be breeding but just don't care. What do you guys think?

thanks to everyone who answered the last question i wanna know if two male unneutered pits can get along all their lifes? i dont wanna neutered them because ive heard they get fat and lazy and it affects their normal growth because when you neuter them you take away their testosterone and they become funny looking so ive heard it is better if you dont neuter or wait till they are 2 years old and i dont want a female because i wouldnt want to spaye her either and i dont wanna deal with a female in heat and cause i dont want to breed either. thank you for your help.

Ok, so I have this dog that I got from the SPCA. We're her 3rd home. She's Part Pit and part beagle, never listens, very hyper and at this point seems impossible to train. And I need to teach her how to behave, and fast. My father says I have to get rid of her. Wich will just break my heart.

So my question is..does anyone know any books I could get that would help me out. Or maybe some advice of their own? I could really really use it.
