I tried puppy pads, sprays and just about everything, but the thing that worked for my puppy was the crate. I tried everything first, because I thought him being in a crate would be just cruel. However it has become his safe place and he won't even sleep anywhere else now. He is completely potty trained and as for the previous post...His command to go to the RESTROOM is "Do you need to go Potty" and he goes to the door. So you can teach them anything you want. Good Luck and don't give up!
*make sure you are taking them out after water, food and even play. My 6 month old yellow lab plays so hard that he always has to Potty after play.

First, how old are they and how long have you had them? I received one that belonged to a neighbor that no longer wanted him. He wasn't housebroke, and was allowed to run the streets. What was I thinking??? Anyway, I got a crate and crate trained him. It's really fairly easy. He is allowed water at certain times, and I have a fenced in yard so he can go out. Before, water and food were out all the time for him. I make sure he goes out as soon as he eats/drinks and allow him time to run. When he poops outside, I praise him and make a big deal and give him treats. He used to climb the fence or dig out under it so I tried putting him on a cable, but he refused to go to the bathroom while he was on one. Do you have a fenced in yard where they can run? Some don't like to go while on a cable or chain. My other dog is small and hates the cold. Who would want to be tiny and sent outside to go to the bathroom when it's cold? But, he would rather go outside than to hear me say NO! It will take patience and you have got to keep at it. Don't give up, keep at it.

If he's peeing because he's frightened or excited you are able to pick to search for suggestion from such as his vet. in case your aunt had this venture all alongside, then you definately can ought to pass again to potty practise one 0 one, and it is a sturdy time because he's in a clean homestead and can want to study that there are new rules in this homestead. you also opt to freshen up any piddle spots with a puppy stain/scent neutralizer. The cleansing products tha fulfill our noses (carpet cleaners, pine-sol, bleach, ammonia) do no longer fulfill the bright experience of scent that a canine has. he will (any the different canine that visits your position) will be interested in that spot, and because they scent the urine they could imagine that it really is alright to piddle on an identical spot. those neutralizers might want to be offered in any puppy provide save or maybe Walmart or target. sturdy success.

You can try paper training them using the wee wee pads that are scented to attract dogs to go on that spot. They work okay. I had my Bichonpoo trained to go on the pads and she did well on them for a while then started having accidents. I trained her to go outside but she still uses the pads sometimes. The pads work if you are consistent with them.

get a crate and crate train them. stay outside with them and be very consistant and patient. keep in mind a friend of mine has crated trained her orphaned goat at a week of age. it does work if you are consistant and patient. here's a great link to crate training, it not only tells you why and how to make it work, there's other great links to training issues and help. good luck...

Get the heated kennel mats and put them out there full time. The mats keep them warm and they have mother nature to do their business in, instead of your house.
ALL my livestock stays outdoors, you can set it up where they are protected enough and have heat.
