Most puppies are like small babies and all do sleep a lot, usually after eating, playing,or a bath. This just shows it is still a baby and gets tired like a little human baby.Don't worry,it is normal if it is active when it is awake. If sluggish when awake, try giving it a high calorie vitiamin daily and make sure worming is up to date.

Yes very normal ! My pup is the same age and has exactly the same routine as yours and in the time shes not playing or eating or being walked, she's sleeping ! All the time your puppy is using energy so she needs to regain it by taking naps, just like a baby sleeps a lot!

Puppies are like babies - they sleep a lot. He's growing and he needs rest just like a human baby. He probably runs around like crazy and then just gets flat worn out. Let him rest, because before you know it he'll be running around like a lunatic again.
If he is not going through periods of activity throughout the day, that is when I would call the vet. Taking lots and lots of naps is normal; sleeping 24 hours a day is not.

I got my yellow lab when he was around 13 weeks or so and he sleep all the time. He is 6 months now and he certainly likes to be up and about now. He still has his rest time though out the day and still sleeps, but not as much as when he was a little boy.

Yes. That's what puppies do...sleep. They need a lot of sleep in order to grow so you can expect a puppy to sleep lots. Even adult dogs sleep a lot, puppies just sleep more.

Yes it is. When I first got my puppy when we would take it for short walks and we would stop to talk to people it would sit down and fall asleep. I would have to carry him home.

Very normal. They are like human babies in that respect. Give it a bit of time and he will get more active and playful.
